USA currency is universally criticized for its lack of color or imagination. How would you redesign it? Must greenbacks be green? Who should we honor?

One thing I can say about USA is that I do like the way our dollars are plain and green, and don't really like that other countries' currency is more colorful. I mean, they look very cool, I just don't think it's all that great for money. The Canadian dollar is very weird because it's like some kind of thin plastic, but may have been made that way to avoid counterfeiting as you said.

I think one reason we use the plain green is to clearly distinguish those notes from any other kind of paper. Something that can't be mistaken. As for who else should be on them? Maybe nobody. Maybe just images of American landmarks or states.

US currency is made out of paper manufactured by a specific company. It has a high rag content and is made from a secret formula. The Treasury dept can easily spot a fake.

I think that they should remain green, The more recent money has been given a hologram that make it easier to detect fakes.

President Trump should be the first living person to be on currency.

The newer designs look like monopoly money. The old style was too easy to copy evidently, but looked better.

It’s also the hardest to counterfeit. There is no wood pulp in the US dollar bills. It is made of some sort of linen.

@ManOnFire First, blacks were not the first or only slaves. Every race had slaves including blacks who sold their own people so save us the pearl clutching. The word slave comes from Slav, whites who were often taken from Eastern Europe. And today, right now, women are sex slaves in major cities with all races of pimps including blacks. You don’t seem to upset about that.

And if you think the natives weren’t warring and raping here then you are not very worldly or knowledgable. Their lands shifted and changed as well through war. They didn’t suddenly get good at war when white people arrived. But they were lacking technology and population so they lost the land that they took from others before that.

Also perpetually declaring that blacks sold their own people into slavery is not only timeless ignorance but a deflection from white men buying them. African lords did not sell their people into slavery knowing they would be taken to the Americas to be used and abused so viciously. They knew that their people went with outsiders as servants, but not to be so horrifically treated. And either way, white men still took those slaves and did what they did. We can try to blame blacks all we want but white men were the ones who decided what they were going to do to black slaves.

I am 100% aware of what natives did to one another here long before whites came. The Aztecs and Maya also did horribly with their own, especially with human sacrifice. But all this was still within their own lands. I'll bet if they were the ones who went overseas to Europe and conquered all the filthy, diseased, backwards, Dark Age caucasian territorities you would find that to be pretty appalling.
