Is it possible for other races to be racist, as well, in your opinion? If so, why is this never talked about?
- 7.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 yAbsolutely not!! I just heard black racist last night! He was asking Judge Joe Brown questions like, "Should we have white babies?" "Do you like white people?" And this guy is supposedly a preacher!! What happened to, "brotherly love", Rev? "Love thy fellow man as thyself"? Remember that one? How come I'm an atheist and I can remember shit like that but, you can't?
About 10 years ago, I was watching a Fishbone interview and Angelo Moore (their singer) was going on about how much he HATES white people!! Well, guess who's mostly buying all your records, Angelo? WHITE PEOPLE!! I've seen and been to a number of your concerts and there's hardly any black people in the audience!! After one of their shows, I hung out with Angelo (you can't get much whiter than me! I practically glow in the dark!!) and, we had a nice long chat and, while we were talking, I whipped out this huge Symphony candy bar I had with me and, I offered some to him and we both ate several pieces of it while we were talking!
My ex-fiance's step-brother came over from India to go to college and was staying with us for a while. At one point, he was referring to blacks and called them, "niggers". Of course, we both told him immediately that it's not supposed to nice to use that word over here, anymore (unless you're black, then you can use it as much as you want).
Shortly after we first met, my ex was telling me about how her own family used to make fun of her because she was darker than anyone else in the family. They'd tease her and tell her that nobody would ever marry her because she's so dark! They even referred to HER as a n**, sometimes. Well, hell, I wanted to marry her!! The glow-in-the-dark Irish guy that had her before me married her! The white guy she cheated on me with wanted to marry her!!
Hindus are WAY more racist than we are!! I'm PRETTY SURE blacks are, too!! In my 6 decades, I've heard WAY more blacks ragging about whites than I've heard whites ragging about blacks!! Even moreso in the past 2 decades!!00 Reply

It's a learned behaviour, not something we're born with - and like any learned behaviour it can be unlearned.
The problem is when that behaviour is the behaviour of the government like in South Africa where until 1994 the paler you were, the better your chances of getting the best jobs and contracts was because of the laws in the country. Then Mandela created equality for four years, Mbeki did his best to stay with that vision and since around 2008 the law introduced preference to the "previously disadvantaged", which would have been a good thing if it had stopped there, but has led to calls for farms built and owned by settler's over two centuries ago and before the Xhosa or Zulu had even visited the west coast by a century on land purchased from the indigenous people - who sold it because they believed it was worthless as they hadn't developed the farming techniques to allow the development of that type of farming - to be stolen from the descendants of those settlers or anyone who has bought one who isn't of black African descent.
You know, because that policy worked so well in Zimbabwe 🙄🤦
Despite that, I still would rather have a hectare or two here in South Africa than in my old country of England. Particularly at the moment.10 Reply
1 yThe word "racist" has gone through so many changes.
It used to mean "hating people irrationally due to their race".
Then it became something like "disagreeing with any member of that race".
Now, it merely means "I have lost the debate, and I hate you".
That's why I never worry about being labelled a racist anymore.31 Reply
Asker1 yIt's always laughable, when people resort to ad hominems during a conversation. That means they've lost the debate and run out of logical arguments

u 1 yThe concept of racism has an objective definition and it is quite real, but the concept of racism has been perverted into a weapon to try to control people in a sociopolitcal context, and as such, it is directed almost entirely at Caucasian people.
00 Reply 6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Of course not. It just matters more when people in power are racist, and most people in power are white.
The thing is, even racists have kind of admitted that racism is an unacceptable reason to make decisions - this is what coming up with alternate excuses and dog whistles is: an admission that their real reasons wouldn't be acxepted.
But since the Citizens United ruling it has become increasingly acceptable for a person to simply say they want to wield their power for racism. Right wing media largely accomplished this by pushing the narrative that everything is called racist to condition people to get mad when anything is called racist, thus training people to come to the defense of racists when they are called rracist. I'd say we are about 10 years away from guys in white hoods once again hanging black kids from trees and castrating their fathers streamed live on youtube with 60 million "not racist" white people in the comments waiting to blurt out "im so tired of everything getting called racist!" at anyone who calls it an obvious act of racism.00 Reply776 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No only humans can be racist it has nothing to do with what color you are...
It's all in how ugly you are on the inside the outside is just all an extra bonus.
But human beings are racist... One of the biggest evils on this planet is ignorance...10 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yHell no. Every race is capable of being racist. I think the most racist right now are usually blacks. No I’m not white either. But this is just what I’ve observed as another minority.

Asker1 yAs a mixed race person I've gotten lots of hatred from other minorities. I've had people accusing of being privileged, or that I think I'm better, because I'm mixed and saying stuff like "we don't claim you" and diminishing my experience

If you wipe your ass with your lefthand you are a racist, righthanded a racist, you cum on the upstroke you are a racist cum on the downstroke you are a racist. No matter what you say or do at any time YOU ARE RACIST. EVEN RACISTS ARE RACIST!!!

10 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I feel like I got dumber just reading this. Anybody who doesn't like or discriminates against another person solely based upon their race is a racist. It doesn't matter if they are white, black, or purple with pink polka dots.

Asker1 yIt might sound like a dumb question, but there are some people, who say that it's impossible for minorities to be racist, since racism is a systemic phenomenon. This is what prompted me to ask this question
- 1 y
If a white person goes to India, Japan, Mexico, Africa, etc wherever the majority of the people aren't white, then the white person is the minority. If they experience racism because they're white that make it systemic? No. They are just the minority in that area. So so being stupid. Racism is simply not liking somebody because they are a different race. That's all it is.

No, it's not and let me give you and example that a conservative would like...
I live in rural Missouri about 1 hour from Saint Louis.
When I moved here 13 years ago from upstate NY, it was a major difference.
Everybody has guns here and I was shocked that my father-in-law gave my granddaughter her first little pink rifle at age 6. And this was a real weapon, mind you. During hunting season, the local newspaper has a centerfold section with young kids and their first hunting kills.
But, in my years here, I've come to realize a few things:
1. People aren't wealthy here; you have to commute a good long way for a well-paying job or you don't make much more than min wage in a nearby store.
2. So, you gotta stretch your money. One way to do that is by hunting. The meat you get saves you big $ and helps keep your family alive.
3. Also because of the low income, people sometimes are willing to "cut corners" with crime. There's more crime here than you might imagine. Is it bucolic here? Sure, but not exactly the crime-free paradise that the GOP might have you believe compared to the "Democrat-led big cities in blue states." Unfortunately, because of the remoteness and low number of police, cops can only do so much patrolling and it can take time to get to you to respond. So, having a gun for "home defense" is a very legitimate reason.
4. People here often farm. Sometimes, you have to worry about wild animal pests that might kill your livestock. Or, just as bad, you have a sick animal. You gun is a tool to take care of both of these.
Do these people need AR-15s assault rifles? No, not really.
Do these people need guns to protect them against "Guv'mint tyranny"? Well, that's just laughable now. In short, it's not going to help them if the government was tyrannical.
BUT, these people have very legitimate reasons for owning weapons and I cannot blame them for being leery at new gun laws.
(more) - 1 y
Anyway, once I moved here, I "became woke" to the needs of the people here. In suburban upstate NY where I was living, it wasn't like that and I was not very consciously aware of how important a gun can be.
... and this is what "wokeness" is really all about:
>>>>> Trying to see what's important to other people and to see how other people live and the obstacles that they face.
What's bothering White (and mostly male) conservatives is that they are perceiving wokeness as beating up on them and that it's all their fault. Certainly, some far left feminists or minorities might think that, but most don't. It's more about "Hey folks! We are here too! Can you please try to understand what we are going through and try to put yourself in our shoes?"
That's all it is really. People wanting to feel included or that they have value and that you know that they may have hardships you might not ever have imagined. - 1 y
@abc3643 Being woke includes:
* 1) Racism towards white people,
* 2) Believing that one can change sex,
* 3) Radical men-hating feminism,
* 4) Culture of death - abortion and euthanasia,
* 5) Atheism
* 6) Totalitarian ruled society, in which you must obey or be canceled; strong propaganda,
* 7) Rejection of objective truth, historical truth, logic, etc...,
* 8 ) Glorification of disabilities, victimisation, fatness, mediocrity and so on instead of positive values, hard work and virtues, rejection of beauty and aesthetics,
* 9) Deep socialism,
* 10) Forced unification (everything needs to include mixed races, mixed cultures) and destruction of real diversity in the world,
* 11) Rejection of any moral authorities (including teachers and parents for children).
* 12) Promotion of egoism
* 13) Sexualization of children; inclusion of sex in entertainment, and many others aspects of life.
* 15) Inclusion of artificial problems like "cultural appropriation","racism towards orcs" in RPG fantasy games and so on,
* 16) Social "justice". Injustice based on premise that some people can be discriminated freely based on the grounds of their richness, skills, power, etc... If you are white men you can be discriminated because you are considered an enemy of the system. (REMEMBER: ""Justice and social justice are as similar to each other like a comfy armchair to an electric chair." Janusz Korwin-Mikke)
* 17) Exaggerated ecology and promotion of its bad conclusions: ordering the extermination of cattle, prohibiting meat, dairy and egg industries, shutting down production, forcing (not promoting) people to use things like electric cars, neglecting the pollution from China and other non Eoropean/USA parts of the world.
* The list can go on... - 1 y
@abc3643 These are not my interpretations but observed facts.
Thanks. But I count on God rather than luck.
Wokeness will never win.
If common sense and good prevails, wokeness will be finished.
If not then It will destroy Europe and US, but then other countries, races and religions will take over that land and get rid of wokeness. Musilms for example will not tolerate it. Nor Asians nor Black people from Africa. They are normal, and have nor respect for such rotten ideologies.
And even if wokeness manage to take over and contaminate whole earth, such chaotic/illogical ideology can not be sustained.
And even it can. There will be end of times and then God will finish himself all wickedness (that includes wokeness).
- 1 y
" These are not my interpretations but observed facts."
They are interpretations. Even at 37, you are still young. You will learn.
Something you should also learn (and many people never do) is that "observations" are often no reality. I could give you an example but that'd take an hour or two to write up.
Anyway, good luck. I am muting this question.
