Many years ago when I was still doing house calls for IT. I visited a client. Said client was having some issues with his pc. My job is to fix it. While fixing it I noticed a low disk space issue, like under 100mb free. I told him, he told me not to delete certain folders. While going through his stuff I found some under age nastiness if you get what I mean. I called my boss immediately, boss tells me to act naturally and keep up my work, doing my best to preserve the evidence. About 30 minutes later my boss shows up, with another tech and the police. We turn the evidence over, and the man was arrested. He later on turned states witnesses for a deal, for turning in the people who actuallyade said under age nastiness.
Under age nastiness = cp for those that didn't get it.

Me personally? No, not exactly.
I used to work for a satellite TV provider. There was one time that a crackhead broke into and stole one of our vans that was full of inventory resupply for some of our remote technicians. The vans had GPS trackers in them, so the managers and cops were able to find him pretty quickly and easily. They got to his house and there was apparently quite the collection of other stolen electronics there too.
There was another time that our vans we being broken into overnight and stuff getting stolen off them. The cops were able to trace a scouting vehicle back to the place that the theft ring was being run out of. We couldn't get the equipment back though, because there was a lot of other stuff being stolen from other places too and they had no way to confirm that it was actually ours (otherwise, it's a whole bunch of "it's mine! No, it's mine!"). We had to eat the cost for all of that stuff, which was not fun.
One tech, who had transferred in from another state, told me about a time when a customer pulled a shotgun on him and threatened him if he didn't finish the job to his liking. He was able to sneak off and call the cops, who had apparently been wanting to arrest the guy for a while because there'd been complaints about him.
I think I'd heard other guys tell stories about coming across drugs, "junior materials", and other things, but those are the three big ones I remember.
I was a cop, so yeah lol. Outside of that I definitely contributed to the imprisonment of a coworker one time, by sending the evidence to the gov. The case existed before a gave the evidence, so I can't take full credit. But I know for a fact that it was used by the prosecutor.
