Trending & News I believe there are some opinions that are absolutely hurtful and saying them should have consequences for them, but not necessarily from the government. In America there is a right to free speech by the government. This doesn't mean you won't get punched in the mouth or canceled for it, but at least the government shouldn't do anything about it.
Oh and before someone brings it up, you getting a ban from social media does not constitute a free speech violation. Free speech is protection from the government, not Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk. Social media has stock holders they are beholden to and do not need to cater to your childish outbursts.
You want to outlaw telling the truth? XD
I want to ask a question.
No. Yes an opinion is an opinion, not a fact. But who decides what opinion is too offensive. One person may take an opinion worse than another, so how do you determine who is right between the two on whether that is too offensive or not? I don’t know what country you live in but America is becoming to soft. The more you take away the more they take. Pretty soon you won’t be able to criticize your president because one that that’ll be illegal as well just like in some countries now that could lead to prison time. Nothing has meaning unless you give it meaning.
I oppose that. Like stereotypes are not a problem of false... just censor because stereotypes. I oppose such laws n censored.

Opinions are never true or false. They are opinions. They are not right or wrong. They may be based on truth but that doesn't make the opinion true. The question is therefore flawed.
Sorry but you're wrong. A lot of MMA fans had opinions about who was going to win when Israel Adessanya fought Dricus du Plessis. Then they fought, and Dricus won. The fans who said, "In my opinion, Adessanya" will win," expressed a FALSE opinion. The ones who said, "In my opinion, Dricus will win," expressed a TRUE opinion.
Some opinions can't be true or false, like which is the best flavor of ice cream, but that doesn't mean that NO opinions can be true or false.
But even if a true or false opinion was a logical impossibility, the question would still be valid, because it doesn't DEPEND on opinions being true or false. There's no contradiction involved in believing that an opinion is (a) true and (b) so hurtful/offensive that it should be illegal.
