I am right wing by modern standards and give away software for free.
Rights wing doesn't mean something can't be free, right wing just understands there is an inherent economy and economic value to something you make. In my case the payment is the enjoyment of the users and to make it more enjoyable in such a way having it free is beneficial to both.
