She was not hypocritical at all.
What she said was absolutely true, because it is true.
Harris dropped out of the race early on because no one wanted her, so as far as better choices for the VP spot just based their qualifications alone, she was very low on the list.
Had she been a white male she would not have been chosen at all. However, because she sort of looks black and was a genetic female that is why she was chosen.
Anything to get votes, qualifications were meaningless in her case.
As to moving up in social and financial stature that is something entirely different.
First Lara was not chosen to be a vice president base on her marital status or chosen to be a vice president period.
As to Lara's social stature as well as her financial stature moving up because of her husband's last name, that is very common. You will find that happens quite often in the real world as well as for people in either political party.

Trump had his daughter in law made one of the co-chairs of the DNC. Considering the sorry state of the DNC when the RINOs were running it into the ground he wanted to make sure that the MAGA part of the Republican party was in charge. So far she is doing a good job.

Yeah, bullshit. There are hundreds of reliable sources for that information on the internet. Below are two of countless examples. Vowing to choose a running mate based on any demographic factor for political gain is clearly wrong, but has sadly become typical of Democrats. Candidates should be selected based on merit and qualifications alone. Otherwise you will likely get someone like Harris, who has been worse than worthless as VP. Now, if Harris had been worthy based on merit, I would have supported her in a heartbeat. One of my favorite choices for POTUS or VP in the past was a woman of color, and she would have been better than anyone we've had in the Wite House in a very long time.
