What are our real needs?

We should provide the basic needs for everyone then if people want more out of life they can pursue that themselves. Some people may need a bit extra to start out with (like say those with permanent disabilities for example) but we should all be allowed to have a fair shot at being successful in life and if we fail there should be safety nets in place to prevent homelessness. It's a dream but its worth fighting for darn it!
Great answer! 👍🏻😁
Food, water, shelter, love and unfortunately in our society today, if they don't know how to hunt, grow food or know how to live on their own, they need money to a point.

The way this question is phrased is biased. And I say this while carrying far-left opinions lol. It's biased because you implied knowing what people/society should want. Clearly there are many, many people wanting wealth, status and possessions. They want it and they need it, from their standpoint.
Which very much explain our current "western" society, many people need different things which is... Very hard to manage, viewed from above.
Food, clothing, shelter, heat.
The Rule of Three: You can live 3 minutes without oxygen 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food
Family/ tribal support til independence, human companionship and hopefully mating.
That about covers it
The only thing anyone really needs is food, shelter, and children.
To secure the same we are programed to seek socialization with others in cooperation to some limited extent. But those are really only needs to the extent they are the only way to get the above 3 requirements of life.
Apart from needs such as food, shelter, water and access to medical treatment.
To me the most important after those are: to be helpful, to offer, to be understood and to live with dignity.
Health care, social security (with small s's). There's no reason for anybody to be dying of minor treatable problems or going without food in wealthy societies.
Society has no needs, there are just individual needs which some influential individuals project as needs of society.
Real need is water n food.
Society needs "a place to sleep at night" or else homeless.
Clothing or else punished for nudity.
Love, appreciation, respect, food, water, shelter, friendship, companionship.
Patrick Bateman in the movie 2000 spoke about a need to return to traditional values ; lol - I for one would rather "people need to keep voting for left wing socialist candidates" lol
Christian bale at his finer acting
American Psycho a 2000 movie, typo
How about just plain honesty? Or is that to much of a stretch.
Food, shelter, water, sleep association with a woman, productive work, liberty.
Define "real" in the question. That could technically mean anything.
Ok... real means "need". As in a "Needed" Need.
I believe society already is working on the "Needed" need. It is just coexist with the "average" need.
Biologically speaking, food, water, good health and a mate to repopulate.
Look up Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
Well, we have to pay our bills
