you would think random emotional outbursts would be censored. but it's actually scientific explanations that get censored the most heavily. it's so crazy and backwards. censorship is not good

I'm sure there's probably a connection. If you think about it, a lot of the women who end up in positions of power and stronger careers are women who have chosen to forego things like intimate relationships and child rearing. All that maternal energy has to go somewhere, and furbabies can only absorb so much of it.

@Maybe_Maybe_not I think that "male" and "female" as concepts are deterministic enough that we can look at the results of what's happened in society and reasonably conclude the reasons that what's happened has happened.

Well, the topic of this convo is not very defined actually, but if we're talking about how I view masculinity and feminity, I believe they are a sort of mix of nature and culture. I find this mix extremely difficult to analyse considering the vast array of settings at play, in psychology, neurobiology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology... The list goes on lol

No, it is the opposite.
When the 1950s were mostly Christian-family friendly times for media, there were harsher & stronger restrictions with powerful white men at the top.

I'm not sure if anyone reads enough anymore so censorship would even be noticed. In most cases men seem to be the ones who need to force everyone else to live by their opinions

Probably less censorship when women are in power, yeah. But that might just be a low sampling size effect as we haven't had a female dictator yet.
