Why does society care so much about gender these days?

I rather not identify as any gender anyway and would rather just be human rather than having a gender identity

It was never an issue throughout 300,000 years of human history. But suddenly, certain militant ideologues with alphabet abbreviations are obsessed with gender and won't shut up about it.

Some hundred yeas ago some people decided that gender was a good way to control society, so they created two genders that turned out to be just made up roles shoved on top of sex even tho they didn't rlly fit. When people inevitably started getting loud about hey actually I don't want to be/only be that gender, they got scared & mad bc that threatens their control.

This happened with feminism challenging the woman gender role. It happened with gay people challenging both genders roles. It happened with trans people challenging the whole idea of gender & gender roles. But hopefully eventually society can let go of the parts of the made up gender stuff that only work to restrict & control people, & we can just have the made up gender stuff that is voluntary ways to express urself & actually fits people based on themselves & not based on assignment from the government. 💙🤍💖

Yet people get murdered in broad daylight over being trans. Same shit happen with gay people decades ago. Bigotry creates more problems.
