Why is there such a gender gap these days?

I thing the internet and smart phones are at least partially to blame. It's much less effective to socialize online where tone of voice and body languare are unavailable. How can we learn to have real empathy and connection with other people if we never interact in real life?

Because misery lives companyBecause it's easier to blame a whole gender than accept own any responsibility for self... Because people care more about stirring people up for their own ego boost then to really communicate and try to understand one another much less empathize... Because these days people make everything a competition, who cheats more, who lies more what gender has it harder, what gender has it easier, blah blah blah instead of realizing life can bring hardship to anyone regardless of gender. Both men and women have been hurt, lied to, cheated on... Because people are more selfish these daysBecause people aren't just biased they do so with hypocrisy and double standards... I could go on but I'll stop here

The social order was instituted to value males very females.. Females are not even ready to take over, but few are striving for it..

But so many men that I know don't feel that way. Our SOs are equals, partners, and lovers. We respect them and see them as more than beautiful faces and bodies. (Not to say we don't love those too)

In fb they have competitions for who gets to be the starters. True euality is equilibrium, the captain is over the troops. The only people unaware of this are guys who uave been brainwashed to not compete to command the relationship with their s. o. There hasn't been a propaganda campaign for women to stop competing for control in their relationships. Women will be the first to tell you how competitive females are with each other. And with their men.

That is a shame. Yes, I like feeling like a protector and a provider. It's in my dna as a man, but I in no way feel superior. Men need to feel needed. It's how we feel valued and appreciated. Let me open a stuck jar once in a while or kill a spider for you. It doesn't me ai think you aren't capable. I need to feel like a man to be happy. b

There is LESS of a gender gap these days than back when you were a nipper. Back in your day women were barely allowed a job or to vote, let alone to talk to anyone outside their household.

Also, just because you want to talk, doesn't mean you have to; or that anyone wants to. There is no "empathy" or "connection" when you're the only one talking.
