This is how the majority of American media outlets cover homicide crime stories since Trayvon Martin (definitely full protocol since George Floyd)

black and black homicide > lucky if the crime story makes the local news nowadays. Incident will likely get swept under the rug because reporting black on black crime makes black people look bad. Only rare exception this story national news if it’s a particularly brutal incident committed by black police officers (Tyre Nichols). Still tough luck to the victims family on that when it comes to media coverage of the victim. There might be a tiny protest or two but no rioting will ever happen.

white on white murder > will likely make the local news especially if the victim is a woman (the more attractive the victim is the more publicity). Almost never a national news story UNLESS it’s something that you make a good drama/horror TV story. Still tough luck to the victim’s families.

black on white homicide > highly unlikely it makes the news at all. If it does briefly make the (always local) news the suspects race won’t be mentioned. It might get mentioned if the suspect was a young attractive white woman but again only the suspects gender will be mentioned. However race won’t be mentioned in the article at all. Journalists will avoid using the suspects arrest mug photo if possible.

white on black homicide > expect an immediate news article headline along the lines “black man murdered by white suspect.” Expect the journalist to automatically assume the motive could only be racism no matter how the incident went down. Very good chance it make national news for at least a few weeks. If the a white suspect is a police officer it will most DEFINITELY be a national news story for months. And unless there is 100% concrete video evidence that the black person was visually used a deadly weapon the article will heavily imply it can only be due to police brutality. Good chance of protests and rioting which likely be initiated by leftist moron white people nowadays.

Bottom line, you describe a potential bias due to editorial policy, this bias doesn't push forth racism, as a result.

Did it occur to you that medias may have responsibilities, and want to act upon them?

Or do you think that journalism should be objective science? Because if you think that, better go to science, science does exist. But science done right also imply ethics.

@Maybe_Maybe_not yes science requires data which is often buried or warped to fit a narrative. And nowadays the narrative is more important to most journalists then hard facts.

Your flowchart is not objective. If you start with the first Y/N why are the choices limited to Muslim or non-Muslim & continues to lead answers to allow a much greater choice of being one of the two choices almost guaranteeing an output of Muslim, black or Hispanic. It's difficult to avoid the pitfall of political correctness despite the fact that it is likely true that the minorities you pointed out are disproportionately imprisoned. There is also the 600# gorilla on the sofa that isn't mentioned is the insane amount of weapons flooding the streets.

no = "socioeconomic issues, systematic racism, gang violence, lack of inclusion and/or integration..." But mostly media silence after short alibi report

Yep. Mass shootings by white Republican men is covered by thoughts and prayers, every time. I bet it's a "wonderful Christian family" too. Sad how tired the media is with the frequency of school shootings that it hasn't covered this nearly as much as it deserves.
