At the end of the day, people will vote how they vote, with as much or as limited amount of information at their disposal. Even with that, people tend to vote based on feelings. One reason is because people take things personally and vote for people who they believe (keyword, because perception is reality) will benefit their lives more. The other reason is because it’s hard for people to discern between fact and fabrication. And, as a general rule, people don’t like doing stuff that’s hard or time consuming, unless they’re super passionate. With everyone on social media and the internet in general, it can feel daunting for some people to fact check.


Anyway, no matter which way you vote, it’s important to do so. If you choose not to vote, hey, that’s your freedom. But, people should know that what’s especially important is voting at the local level. Doing so is what gave rise to both major party tickets, as the people elected at the local level allowed all the candidates in both major parties to rise to power and prominence. In other words, in order to have an impact, people need to get involved in the affairs of their local government and know and understand the things happening in their area. If they don’t do anything physical (running for office, joining campaigns, etc.), they should at least be informed, and that starts with critical thinking.


There’s a good podcast that talks about critical thinking (link below, for anyone reading). But, to answer your question directly, people have a multitude of reasons for why they would vote for this ticket, and others have a multitude of reasons why they won’t. At the end of the day, it’s best to be an informed voter. It’s ok to be an emotional voter too, but voter have to be informed, and I would discourage people from voting based on emotion alone, as emotions, well sometimes justified, are often irrational.

Maybe when you have more life experience you’ll know what to believe and what is actually going on , all politicians are corrupt in some way or they never would have got in since they all lied to some extent to get where they are and the news we get here is all filtered and censored so you need to find the truth elsewhere, they all criticize the other but it’s not always true what they say
