Should morons vote?

Question

Ever since I could vote there has been this drive to get "everyone" to vote. Yet among my friends, there has always been this super shallow understanding of politics. Most of my friends don't vote, and they don't think about politics, other than to say, "They're all evil, and on the take".

Knowing that these people are more likely to vote based on their shallow, uninformed rebel anarchy inclinations, I actually prefer that fewer people be encouraged to vote. Why let people who really don't give a flip about the country decide it's future?

This is a contradiction. Why? Because this just goes to show there are cases in which restrictions of the vote are applied and she things justifiably. And to argue against this would be called special pleading.

Futhermore, if a group of people wanted to have the right to grape, should we allow it because they are threatening the capital on lets say, January 6th?

Oh so we shouldn't do things SOLELY based upon a group of people who feel disenfranchised?

Its almost like capitulating to terries is not always a good thing.

Why is that person so dumb?

You have to let everyone vote if they are an adult and otherwise did not forfeit their right to vote (such as being in jail or leaving the jurisdiction).

The reason for this is simple:
When you deny people something that others freely get, you create a class of people who become resentful and, later, violent.
This is exactly why there was an American Revolution.
"No taxation without representation!"
The American colonists didn't get a vote about what happened to them - they couldn't vote for a member of Parliament to represent them and so, not having any say in things but getting pissed on by those that did, they became angry and violent.

... and they gave birth to a nation that made sure everybody in that new nation wouldn't suffer like they did; they made sure everybody gets to vote.

I think all of us only have a superficial filtered view of national and state level politics. I got to see the nitty gritty of some local level politics but that's about it. None of that goes in the news until years later if at all when nothing can be done.

It's like anything else in life, you make the best decisions you can with the information you have and your own morals. They might not be as interested as you, maybe they have greater conviction and more ignorance. That's part of freedom though. Not voting is a decision too.

I think those who don't vote haven't had anything affect their lives in any meaningful way. I wasn't interested in politics until after I was falsely accused and served an ex parte ppo I had to take to court. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Felt I was being treated extremely unfairly by EVERYONE just because I was born male. Now I'm voting for Trump

They been pushing for higher and higher voter turnout for decades, telling everyone it is somehow a "duty" or "natural good" for everyone to vote.

It is all nonsense and self-serving, most people don't care enough about politics to know what they are voting on.
Theses people's vote therefore is at best cast randomly, and thou usually in favor of the one with the loudest voice.

That just happens to be for them the person usually telling them to vote. Hence the motivation for the same.

As a rule thou if you haven't seen much of life yet, many elections, or worked to pay your own bills your domain of experience is limited perhaps even too limited to make a good judgement.
