Oh, I have family in NYC. They have lived there for 30 years. It is the most frightening time in this 30 years they say. People are indeed moving out, the ones that have a choice that is. I asked about visiting as I have in the past to use their apartment when they are elsewhere. They advised not as even the upper east side is dangerous to walk around. I used to walk the whole east side and midtown when there. I would take the subway and even city busses which I would not do today. They don’t go out as much to the restaurants and if you know Manhatten, that is their lifestyle.
