English is a language that grows and adapts. It will absorb, adjust and words from other languages, it will invent new ones. 100 years is a long time for English, there are changes to the vocabulary and the meaning of words, for example Gay. 500 years is a huge shift in time and would have a large impact on English, 1000 years is really as far as you can go, as 1000 years ago English was very much a different language to what we use now.

The main changer will be the next global war, then the global war after that one etc. In recent military exercises between North Korea, Russia, China, they tried using Ai translation however it provide accurate translations, they then changed to English. With the numbers of people globally that speak in English and where it is enforced in certain sectors means it would be hard to change from, however it will adapt.

The biggest influence on language now is the Internet, particularly social media sites even GAG because people get exposed to a wide range of English dialects and get sloppy with their own. I think in the near future we could see English becoming more phonetic in spelling because of this.
English will sound a lot different in only a few hundred years never mind 3000.

English retains it's global popularity due to being Americas main language. But as that switches to Spanish then English could become more spanglish.
