Are you concerned about your healthcare provider's politics?

I ask because although the majority of my patients seem not to care, a few do and have asked me about my own political preferences which I do not discuss with them.

On an individual basis, I am not overly concerned about my healthcare providers' politics, nor are their politics any of my business.

How would I even know about my healthcare provider's politics unless I stuck my nose in their business?

I may occasionally let myself slip and make a political comment in conversation with healthcare providers.
I mean no harm, and my comments are almost always professionally deflected, very effectively ending any possible controversy or even potential agreement.
I'm there for medical help, not to be getting on a political soapbox.

As groups, organizations, and corporations, though, yes, I am concerned.

Beyond the call of the almighty dollar in medicine, I believe that COVID played hell with the entire healthcare system.
That was very unfortunate, but that's the way things happened.

Hopefully, this new COVID-blighted world in which we now live will iron out some of its many kinks and go on to better days ahead.

Most healthcare providers these days seem to me to be largely slaves to the systems of insurance companies and also to the systems of very large metropolitan hospital healthcare groups. with the current system structures being horrific compared to the pre-COVID world, no matter how altruistic and caring that many individuals who work within those systems might be.

I've been trying to move my business with healthcare providers to those who maintain independent practices, free of the constraints of the very large hospital groups.
They are getting harder to find every year.

Just so we understand each other, with your political POV, I would not want you as a 'Provider"... and with that said I won't be checking into any of my GP's to determine their political view points... as that would probably drive me away from their practice.

I care about my financial advisors politics. I go with somebody that does not invest in companies based on some DEI criteria. I care about the companies I do business with I have a long list of companies I boycott because of theater woke policies and I absolutely care about my doctor's politics. This became an issue during covid and I made sure that my doctor was not just a shill for Dr Fauci and big pharma.

No, when I go to the Doctors, I'm there for medical advice not political advice, plus it's none of my business what their political beliefs just like it's none of their business what my political beliefs are. I'm mature enough to respect others political beliefs not let it get in the way of things.
