That is a very childish way to look at things. The truth is that governments are the foundation of modern societies. We can't sustain a society without a centralized organization which becomes the government. You can say it is evil or whatever but that does not really change reality as such.

Beyond that, I can perfectly trust a liar to tell me a lie, a thief to steal and a murderer to murder. As long as they are a known quantity then you can deal with them in a safe and secure way. As long as I can accept that a government is going to be nothing more than a government, with all the evils that it entails then that is something I can work with.
