I can at least say that our current federal government has a concrete plan that has already been evidently moving even before day 1.
So, there is a glimmer of hope now.
The previous federal administration was mostly clueless as to what needs to be done and also clueless about how to address the issue at hand.
That was hopeless.
As for the State of California, no vote of confidence for the "Governor" currently running the show here.
That is still hopeless.
No, governments are the enemies of the working-class people. They serve the interests of the bourgeoisie, multinational corporations, lobbies, monopolists.. Unless you belong to one of the the aforementioned categories, they don't care about you.. Sometimes, under great pressure they might be forced to temporarily provide some social benefits to the people to prevent an uprising, but this doesn't mean they've become your friend
Im talking Australia..
I used to trust government , I was involved at one point.
The likes of Covid , and in particular Daniel Andrews Premier Victoria ( use google ) completely destroyed all that trust , now I don't trust the system in Australia and we came to realise that States themselves have far too much power.
So , a big NO , I have zero trust in them , that's really really sad , but not my fault.
No... Why would anyone? That's like trusting mcdonald's to get your order right.
There is a reason why the public always have to keep pressure on the government to do things because otherwise they would screw us all for their own goals more than they already do.
Will say though I like my mcdonald's better than others though lol

As the founding fathers of America knew, you should never trust the government, instead you should put strict limits on the power of government, constantly check to make sure they are not overstepping their authority and make sure that the people are in control of the government at all times and not the other way around.
The only good government is a strictly limited and controlled government that understands that it is working for the people and not the other way around. All government will become corrupt if given the opportunity to do so. If you rely on honesty you are asking for dictatorship.
Frankly, I would trust them if they stuck to the script of The United States Constitution and the good presidents of the past like ‘Progressive Era’ Theodore Roosevelt.
Now its cut USAid this, cut FDIC that, sabotage CFPB, and crush Disability Benefits also Social Security. Like don’t f*ck with average Americans !
yea I think I would’ve liked to have been somewhere in that era.
I need to draw a comparison here, I trust my gov to act as a global shield against megacorps since this gov has to earn enough trust to operate and stay in power. Which isn't the case for corps. Without gov, I believe companies would crush all of us, since they can't manage resources properly.
Nope. I especially don't trust the democrats, but I rally don't trust the republicans either. There are worse systems of government than the USA, but not much worse. Dummycrats think women have a "right" to murder their own baby out of laziness and vanity. Republicans deny all science. we're damned if we do and damned if we don't.
Not a ton. But then again, mistrust of government is more or less baked into the cake with American politics.
politicians aren't people who can be trusted :D
no in the past, moreso now but that is tempered by they are too bludgering which causes it's own problems.
I question the safety and security of many things at this point.
This is the easiest question that I've ever answered here. Absolutely no. Not at all.
The Government here in the UK are totally wrecking our country
Never trust the government they are only good at 2 things killing people and taking money. It used to be three but they can't even deliver the mail anymore.
Wow. 84% says no…
Until you ask if you trust the government enough to impose the death penalty, then suddenly the government is the epitome of truth and justice.
🙄
I'm a US citizen. I trusted my country until last November. Now? I've lost all respect for this 3rd world shithole we have become.
can’t some1 just asspan he?
I trust maybe half of it. I trust a lot of the executive branche, most of the judicative branch and only a small percentage of the legislative branch.
to a point, sure... but I don't rely on it that much
politicians though... I don't trust them one bit at all
Politicians ARE the government... At least 2/3s of it.
@Caroline91 well, not quite...
most of the government workers are not elected, so they're not politicians but officials...
by experience... they're a bit of a different breed, some of them... anyway
Do I trust the UK Labour Government - No I don't trust them at all, they are ignoring the will of the Majority of the UK's People, Pandering to the will of the minority while jailing the members of the Majority for the smallest of reasons.
No. I fully expect them to sell my country off to Trump for a bacon sandwich and a coke.
Don't forget about the Big Macs and fries... hold the pickles!
Living in Poland... I have more trust in the government of China, the USA or even Russia than my own.
No. They will backstab instantly people who elected them if there is no election over longer time span.
Definitely not. Governments are nothing more then criminal organizations that are similar to leeches. Only they suck your money up instead of your blood
Anyone who says yes is a fucking dumbass, either that or somehow directly benefiting from the government in a way that no one else is
My state government more than the federal government, but generally yes.
Depend on the day I would say mostly no but not everything is bad so
Government should be handled like any organization... or person.
Trust... and Verify!
Government is for government and those who rule government; never for the people.
I live in South Africa. If the government said water was wet, I'd check before I believe them. I'd slap Chuck Norris before I'd believe Cyril.
yss, i appreciate the stability nd progress in Qatar." 😊
Government has become synonymous with corruption and deception.
Most governments are in some way corrupt and power hungry unfortunately.. So no..
No, although I trust it more now that Trump is president.
of course not. no government should ever be trusted. it's a necessary evil society can't live without that constantly has to be contained.
I do not trust president (s) Musk & Trump nor any of the other billionaires who are now destroying the infrastructure of our country
Yes. My local government are elected by the city and we can hold them accountable for decisions they make
No, I don't trust any government, or most people in general.
Trust is foolish.
I have zero trust in western governments, They are running our countries off a cliff and we are too powerless to stop them.
Traditionally Sweden is a very high trust society and given our current right wing government yes, I trust them well enough.
i trust a fart after a Taco Bell meal and 12 keg beers the night before more than I trust the government.
I trust the elected government over the unelected portions.. But where I trust the unelected portions at 0% I trust the elected portions at 0.00000001% so negligible difference.
I barely trust my own household if I leave a clove of chocolate cake in the fridge lol
No, my government screwed up and went into bankruptcy. The citizens pay the price.
Fuck no. We been a laughing stock for more than half a century
Nope. Humans can't be trusted let alone governments.
There's a lot of homeless people living on the the streets and our government is doing anything about it.
Haha, no. They are actively screwing my country.
partially yes, partially no
Sure it's a monarchy 👑
Yes, as far as I can throw it.
I don't trust democrats.
In some cases, I do, now!
Yes*
*With infinite caveats
Generally, yes. To never lie to me? No.
Your kidding right !
No, but there once was a time when we could.
Only 80 is chest to go rent
I trust no polititions or burokrats!
Haven't trusted the government for decades.
About as far as I can throw it.
