I can see why people don't like not having a car. First to all it could take 10 minutes to drive somewhere but with the bus it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then everyone try to run you over constantly no matter one even worse near any mall area or a place with a lot of restaurants. Then you have the immature guys who honk like every second or shout nasty stuff out the window. Then if you are walking you have to deal with guys acting creepy walking behind you several times and of course you get recognized everywhere because people think it's so hilarious that they see you everywhere and have to point it out or better yet think it's funny to humiliate you by laughing in their car or screaming out the window at you. Then you have to immature guys who insult you or get a kick out of bullying a woman. Not having a car has put my life into unsafety so many times. Never take a car for granted because what I thought wasn't a big deal turned out to be A HUGE DEAL! Now if you have social anxiety walking across the street is like going to judgement day legs shaking and panicking as everyone sits there. Any place that is close to each other like a 3 minute drive from each other becomes a 30 minute drive with the bus and a 2 hour walk. It's so exhausting there are certain places I just cannot go because of how much walking and sometimes the area is really dangerous for a woman to walk down especially if it's a prejudice city. Tbh California is an awful place to not have a car. I'm sure new york isn't a big deal because I'm sure people in unique dont act like they are Gods gift to earth because they have their Mercedes or whatever materialistic junk that won't go with them when they pass to the next life. New York City could be rude but I doubt people act stuck up there even though any city is bad for someone with extremely bad anxiety.
