Is not being able to drive is a deal breaker or not having a car? Also, is it werid having someone pick you up from work everyday?

Depends if your in a area with decent mass transit, I would hate relying on others to drop me off and pick me up from work. Others are often unreliable and its my butt on the line for being late or sitting around waiting for two hours, wondering if they forgot me afterwards.

As long as you plan on driving and getting a car eventually then it's okay. I wouldn't judge anyone for not driving

Saving your money is a good idea. With paying for insurance and a car payment it's a lot of money so prob not worth it unless you have to

I guess it depends where you live. I have always lived in cities, and a car is just a luxury in a city. I can always take subway or bus. I know people without cars and it’s not weird. Cars do give u freedom and I recommend it however …get a car if u can!

yes, it is a very big deal... in many if not all aspects of life

that's why many or most people start to drive at age 16... and get their own cars

"independence" matters, it does make you more reliable

you would have to rely on your mother, or your sister... or very expensive Uber, I hear

and not just with dating girls... it will happen with friends, it can happen at work meetings, business deals, emergencies and many other things

Yeah, that's going to cause you a lot of problems. The only time it really works is if you live where the public transportation is excellent or you're a college student of typical undergrad age.

Yes that is absolutely a bad look for dating that your mom is picking you up, do you have a store across the street or somewhere in the open near by so nobody can see you getting in the car with ur mom? So you can at least look all manly to most women that's a red flag.
