    This is a hard Question for me. Because no matter what I have done. it gained
    Or even learnt. It's just a part of growing and becoming a better person...

    I can say I bought a house. . but now what. LOL. . I guess it's mine until I die. So I guess it's better than paying rent. But I don't know if it's an achievement.. I guess it could be if I truck it all out and sell it. . . I think for me I just became a better person. I got to live through some tough times. I had to take care of my mom knowing she was going to die.. so I made it easy to or her to just relax and with no stress or drama. So she could do it at peace.

    My dad died a month earlier. That sucked. . So maybe I might have learnt that be greatfull if what you have. Or stop and think about what you need. Or want. . Is it important. . Or instead of wanting.. you can be giving. Because one day you won't need it. . .

    . so I think I'm at a time in life I have just about everything. . And I have always seen myself as being different than everyone else. . I don't know if I will ever achieve my goal. . and that would just me being the best I can be.. with out trying. Because if I get there it would be boring LOL. No I don't know... I think if I get to achieve something it would be a better understanding of Why. Lol

    I moved countries, started my degree in psychology, joined a group to help kids and teens with mental health issues, quit smoking weed, ended a toxic relationship, bought a house, rescued two kitty cats.

    Not in any particular order

      @exitseven no most of that happened in the US actually. But I do feel my life has been better here but that's mostly because when I walk around the town there isn't places that remind me of someone or things that have happened which has been refreshing

    so much more than i thought that i ever would. i am so happy that i kept listening to my gut feeling and left a really destructive relationship where i was constantly put down and berated for having ideas or dreams. im so happy i just walked out of that relationship and i know that i have become such a good person thanks to it. i have done so much more with my life than i ever thought that i would.

      @midnightmoon05

      I don't really have some big celebration in the traditional sense. I would say that the enjoyment comes from knowing the fruits of my labour;

      1. Muscle mass: this is good for my health as having extra muscle mass means being healthier overall, being able to walk up a flight of stairs with ease, being able to carry heavier physical loads, not too mention admiring looks from the ladies ( if I wear my tighter shirts - but I only do that once in awhile. Most of the time I have comfortable clothing on. ) . This does not mean that I have a six pack though. I still have a layer of fat on my abdomen that has been super stubborn but I am working on it - now I am cutting back on snacking at work and I am just starting to see that layer of fat starting go down. ( I do have one cheat day a week, though).

      2. French:

      I can now have a decent conversation in French and understand most of what is said in a French language news cast. It took me six years to get here. through online live courses, thousands of flashcards, reading articles, and all the way to reading full length novels in French , I can say that I speak the language at a good level. It is not perfect but it is good enough to get by.

      3. Debts

      I had tens of thousand of dollars in debt between student loans , a car payment and credit cards. I was inspired by Dave Ramsey and I made my own plan based off of his ideas. It took me some four years to pay it all off but I did it. Cavet : I still have credit cards that I occasional use here and there for some online stuff but they are small amounts and I pay them off at the end of the month.

      Also , as for the debt , there is a nice satisfaction knowing that one is debt free. It is a lot less stress. You also have more money to invest.

      Have you call in to the Ramsey show to do a “I’m Debt Free” segment? Would be cool!

      How did you get started with this path? Of changes?

      @midnightmoon05 They occur slowly over the course of years. It's not like I woke one day and decide to do all three. As for debt, no , I have never called into his show but I have seen plenty of his you tube videos where talks about getting out of debt. So I sort of followed his path although I did my a little differently than what Ramsey says. I started with the credit card debt with the highest interest and paid that one off as aggressively as I could. In the mean time I put very little into savings and investments. As for my other debts I would make a little more than the minimum payments to keep them from going into default. When I finished one debt I would start paying off the next debt. It took about 4 years or so but I did it.

      What really got me thinking was how long it would take to payoff debts and how much I would end up paying in interest. Making only min payments means one would be in the hole for ever. Ramsey says take each debt one by one and pay as much as you can one just one debt and make the min payments on the other ones. He also says you should tackle the smallest debt first but I did the math and decided I would save more money on interest payments on the long haul if I took on the debts with the highest interest first.

      Here is a link to a site that I used back then to help me with the calculations:

      Thank you for sharing. See! It’s possible! Like he said…you are no longer a slave to debts! So many fall into that trap so easily with the mindset of being a consumer - spending more than they earn.
      I have never gotten into debt because it’s not in my upbringing…. it never make sense to me to buy now and pay later.
      I accidentally heard his show on the radio while driving 2 years. ago…. so I listen almost daily. It’s a fun show… what’s next? Being a millionaire? I also like that segment when they call in about how they became a millionaire… It sounds obtainable.

    Mainly I got a teaching degree (no student loan debt because I worked and paid for it as I went to school) and a teaching credential/license and left California. That is all I can think of at the moment.
