Well, it's fashionable to be racist against white people, especially men, in hiring, school, social programs, scholarships, and defining hate crimes.

The only real escape is to change the definition of race, or your identity politics like Kamala Harris. From what I see, this is going to set the US up like South Africa, where they campaigned against the "Rich whites" a while ago, put black people in power, all to signal how against racism they were. Now their country has an insane unemployment and crime rate.

Politics. A large percentage of blacks vote for Democrats, so it's good politics to emphasize improving black poverty. Poor whites' vote is split between parties, and many just don't vote.

The plight of the African American community really comes down the destruction the black family and exponential percentage of single black mothers. Not having a father around is devastating for young black youth. Much higher chance of growing up in a impoverished family.

Yes black Americans suffered centuries of oppression, slavery and racism in the United States. But the name of “benevolence” leftist democrats disenfranchised black people even further via charity and entitlement programs starting under Lyndon B. Johnson just to get votes.

Also the ONLY thing I am okay using tax payer more for is having better inner city schools which typically have a large population of minorities. And when I say “money” I mean better secured facilities, better teacher pay for WELL QUALIFIED teachers who teach kids WHAT matters: reading writing and arithmetic. Not DEI woke garbage.

I am okay with having more teacher and smaller classrooms. Even mandatory summer schools to keep kids out of trouble.

I'd wonder where and the drivers. I've seen the poverty and homeless of non-black people in one city far beyond other races. Not sure of the poverty, that exists too for both. It may be a local phenomenon.

Resources should go fairly and where they are effective, with metrics to measure progress. If not effective, why invest? Only reason to invest is to make change...

The problem is parents, access to good nutrition, support, community, education...$ for better education/instruction.

To be fair, everything should be based on merit, not just feeling sorry for a particular group and helping them more than others.

And for anyone that supports "reparations," then Black people need to pay far more than any group for all the crimes, murders, robberies, and r@p3s they have done.

Step one should be to stop helping other countries. Don't give away our tax money.

Step two should be that hiring is required to be based on merit, not on preferring a specific group regardless of qualifications. The goal is to reduce all poverty, & to do that we need to fix the stuff that causes regular poverty (equal risk for everyone) & the stuff that makes any particular group especially risk of poverty (lower graph, Natives have SUPER high risk so that should prolly be addressed in addition to the regular stuff).

What percentage of blacks are in poverty. There are probably a higher percentage of people in poverty who are white, because whites are still the majority here. % of your race in poverty is a better representation than % of people in poverty is a given race. If a country is 100% white, 100% of those in poverty will be white.
