If other citizens at the event could have had their guns, the bad shooter likely would have never got off a single shot. The current government was the cause, that is why they ignored the multiple pointing out the shooter and the secret service refused to take the radios the local authorities provided for them. They also locked out some of the local authorities, which resulted in them having to ram a gate with their police vehicle to gain access.

It was obviously the government wanting him gone that lead to the incident.

If the first incident was 21+ years old to purchase a gun then that wouldn’t have happened.

The 2nd one, was if the police confiscated all weapons from a convicted felon then monitored whereabouts to make sure the weapon wasn’t anywhere near the President would’ve helped along with MORE security for sitting Presidents & Presidential candidates.

You can have the right to bear arms as the 2nd amendment says while also making American life safer especially for public servants.

Yes, but carrying a legal rifle around in Florida isn't, is it? If he'd not been a felon, and he'd had a semi-auto or even bolt action rifle and he hadn't pulled the trigger, what law would he have broken? Hell, he could probably have sued the secret service for shooting at him without provocation.
