Is being obese the new normal in Britain and the USA and is there a world shortage of mirrors judging by the appearance of lots of people?

Britain is no as bad as the US yet. Most are overweight but not obese but it's getting worse. Fat acceptance is normalising it. Funny thing is that we keep hearing about climate change but nobody talks about how much larger obese people's carbon footprint is.

There are definitely too many in the US that don’t take care of themselves. I, for one, am not one of them. I stay fit.

Insofar as we have, in the last twenty-odd years, FALLEN in terms of fatness from the world leader to sixth place (and given that the UK surpassed us fifteen years ago), you're rather late to the party on this one.

Maybe I worded it poorly. US people have continued to get fatter over the last 20ish years. But if other countries are also getting fatter at faster rates, I can see how we dropped to #6 on the rankings.

And yeah, lockdowns absolutely fucking wrecked the world's health. not sure how accurate it is, but I once read that Americans gained an average of 29 lbs during the "pandemic." Oh yeah, diabetic products and ozembic type products for sure. Pharma companies are going to make a killing. Pun...

No. Also, most "obesity" is due to medication, rather than people just overeating for fun.

I've never heard of medication that was filled with thousands of calories. Jokes aside, 100% of obesity, no exceptions, is caused by consuming more calories than what your body needs. There is no other way. Even if meds reduce your daily metabolic needs, or increase your appetite, you still can just eat less. Everyone has this choice. It's not beyond us, and countless people are dead because of this dishonest belief that the rulers have crammed into our heads.
