It's more trickle out than trickle down. Most of the riches excess wealth gets locked into things like property, shares, trust funds etc so never enters the local economy. Then when they do buy stuff it's usually imported things, proper French champagne and not that fizzy wine crap from the local dealer, Japanese cars not American rubbish that'll need repairing in a month.
There is no trickle down economics, all the wealth goes to the top and stays there.

More like the rich controls 95 percent of the money, middle class 3 percent, the working poor 2 percent, and the spare change is left to the rest clean up the s** left behind
