Yes. Without a doubt. I think Fate or destiny even karma is a real thing. How else would I explain running into my current student who was 16 at the time in a casino drink in hand at an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean?

Running into my aunt and uncle and cousins at Disneyland while online for the teacups ride?

And let's not forget the time in class when I was describing my in-laws family business in economics as an example and one of the students blurted out incredulously "Are there names x?" Do they live in Y?" After getting over my being stunned I said slowly hesitantly and full of anxiety said "Yeah... " She screamed out "holy shit!" followed by "OMG! We're related!" I've never had a class fall that silent that quickly to be followed by just a cacophony of questions to the two of us! It was an absolute trip! Turns out we were distantly related by marriage!
