1 yYes.
As humans we like to find patterns when there are none, we mastered our own process of time keeping which applied seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years into our everyday lives & we record data. We are bound to find coincidences instead of pre planned life outcome predetermined from the Heavens above…22 Reply- 1 y
@Crimsyjo I think ‘we’ as humans should strive towards fact based evidence rather than patterns.
It is healthier to just go “Wow such a coincidence” rather than go down the rabbit hole of “or what if it isn’t?”.
People think Ancient Egypt built helicopters, had electricity, and was far more advanced than any civilization therefore aliens though none of those are true which definitely falls flat the alien remarks… It is a coincidence some of the hieroglyphs look like helicopters / such because we are basing it off of today, we are seeing a pattern so we are giving it meaning that doesn’t exist.

m 1 yYes, for some reason stuff just happens by chance. When you bump into a school friend in Paris in some random location or two girls at a party wearing the same dress and they do not know each other.

m 1 yI don't believe, I am certain that coincidences are happening everywhere. Don't ask why though lol

haha dragging me into belief in a plan, I'm an agnostic so, you know. In my belief there could something greater, or could not :D
I have sound reasons, philosophy helps, to believe that we see biases everywhere AND see meaning as well. On this aspect, pareidolia strikes me often lol - 1 y
Haha I'm also agnostic. I don't believe in a destiny plan as I would hate to think we are not in control of our own lives. But... I am also aware there is many aspects of the world we cannot perceive due to the limitations of our minds. We process information around us but the majority is discarded as irrelevant for our immediate necessities. Who decides this? Somewhere inside us. Do readings such as tarot and runes work? Not directly of course because they are only objects but the interpreter if good "works". What about magic? Spirits? Yes I touch upon the spiritual and paranormal. I have had experiences. So I can't easily dismiss these things just because I have no way to explain or understand them.
Philosophy and psychology- despite my own interest in them - are still man made in design and everything we create or believe is a bias due to our own limitations.
It just popped in my head about Ants and bees and other "hive" mentality species that communicate so efficiently non verbally. Maybe chemicals and hormones do have a part to play? Or maybe that's the only part man can "see" to theorise over? It doesn't discount that something invisible can be transmitted like radio waves between people? - 1 y
"hate to think we are not in control of our own lives"
Maybe you should not go into philosophy and psychology then haha because both will reveal that you are not as in control as you think 😅 - 1 y
Hahaha actually I'm not that keen on the "teachings". In terms of how academically the university does not really like out of the box modes of thinking. I will jump through the necessary hoops to get my qualification. Whilst also keeping an open mind that all we say and know is subjective and really we will never fully know anything at all 😄
For evety argument there is an equal and valid counter argument lol - 1 y
eyyyy, not so sure about equality here, because then, we would have MANY more problems with flat earthers if their argument was considered valid. Using an extreme example here lol
- 1 y
Haha OK OK I guess it just sounded nice to say it the way I said it...
However... even flat earthers have arguments about fake moon landings and conspiracy to add validity to THEIR perspective even if us on the other side of it disagree.
My ex boyfriend thought dinosaurs were a made up myth... 😂 - 1 y
a made up myth yeaaaaaaaah ofc, that's the problem when people don't even know that natural museums exist. Suuuuuure I get the GPS problem here 🤣
On the topic of validity, watch out with this because there is a big difference between a theory being verified one million times, aka when you jump, you crash, and a theory appearing out of the blue. They are really not equal in plausibility here ! - 1 y
Because everytime you want to be relative, with good intent, you could also forget that this is not as much relative as that, when you consider plausibility hehe
I don't believe in fate, so there is a lot of random stuff in life, and much of it tend to be bad.
00 ReplyLots of things are coincidences. Twice is fortunate or unfortunate depending. Thrice is a pattern and maybe planned.
