The facts indicate that it was a setup. First, criminal trials are never televised. It is easier to control the narrative through the media and in the movies: not when the public sees what actually transpires in criminal trials. Second, the jury was selected to obtain a not guilty verdict. Half of the jury was Black women who they knew resent white women stealing their men. Five of the remaining jury members were blacks, Hispanics, and an American native, all known to distrust the legal system. There was only one white person on the jury.

This is how normal mature adults view people who see conspiracies everywhere.
In a nutshell, normal mature adults view these people as 1) immature and 2) suspect they will never admit error or take personal responsibility (which, if you think about it, is another form of immaturity because that's what kids do).

Let me explain:
You're on the job. You make a mistake. It's not career or job ending, but it's not good either. The boss hears from you an excuse - basically, that's its not your fault. (What ex-President does that sound like). The boss - and every other normal mature adult - thinks a few things:
1) This person is immature.
2) This person is not really a team player.
3) This person is likely going to be a disruptive influence in the office if only because they will interfere with interpersonal chemistry. (In short, office politics is going to wipe them out and that IS a sort of conspiracy.)
4) This person won't grow. They won't learn from their mistakes.

So, there is a good chance that chronic conspiracy theorist is going to lose their job within the year.

Being in the workplace is just one form of relationship. Romantic relationships will be like this too.

What I've just described are examples of what @msc545 is saying.

(And the sad thing is sometimes the real conspiracy comes from the people who want to manipulate people who easily believe in conspiracies - like Trump trying to get the MAGA faithful to believe in "the stolen 2020 election".)

Don't waste your life looking for them everywhere because, if you do, that's like locking a blind person in a circular room and telling them "The food is in the corner."

That's some straight up area 51 shit! In California at certain judicial levels, trials are televised and that was the law a long time prior to OJ's case. It wasn't made up exclusively for him.

Your latent racism and stereotypes are actually kind of sad. Many people, I would even say most, can put their reservations aside when asked to do something as monumental as jury duty. Surveys have shown that jury duty is viewed as a necessary evil and disruptive to your personal life BUT that it is also, and should be approached, with solemnity and civic obligation. If chosen, many people use the word "fidelity" and "reverence" for the justice system.

I've seen first-hand how this works. When entering a courtroom it is exactly like entering a temple. The rituals symbolism authority and solidity all imbue you with the sense of righteousness. Very few people need to be told to be quiet or to behave themselves. And if you want the best proof? When I taught criminal justice we would take the kids on a field trip to the local courthouse. They to a man were incredibly well behaved and intellectually inquisitive about something that they would likely have to take part in at some point in their lives.

I watched the trial itself. The prosecution was - at best - incompetent. Asking him to put on the glove virtually guaranteed a not-guilty verdict. There's no way nobody on the prosecution side didn't know the glove would have shrunk.

A verdict that allowed a civil case. If he'd been convicted the second case awarding millions wouldn't have happened, so a hung jury wasn't going to be enough.

The burden of proof is on the prosecution. Either by incompetence or lack of evidence is uncertain, but they failed.

It was blinding how dumb some of the things they did were. Chain of evidence issues and some "witnesses" of decidedly unreliable character whose testimonies were self-contradictory.

I think it's likely he was the killer, but having sat on two juries in murder cases I couldn't have got to "beyond reasonable doubt" on what the jury actually got to see.

From the recent polls I’ve read most African Americans believe OJ was guilty. However some far left advocates have this disgusting attitude that “yeah he was guilty but black people are oppressed so it was retribution he was let off”. It’s THAT attitude that’s scary and twisted.

Also OJ spent most of his adult life identifying as “affluent white”. Playing golf with older white men while chasing younger white women. Then when he was charged with murder he conveniently played the “oppressed minority”.
