Should the United States defund the United Nations?

The United States pays more than a quarter of the expenses of the United Nations.

The UN is a cesspool of corruption, probably the most corrupt organization in the world. It's made up of a web of corrupt "ambassadors" and politicians from around the world who are leaching off of the United States and engaging in all kinds of corrupt activities that work against America's interests. They support terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah and consistently work against the interests of the United States and its allies.

It started off with a noble idea but it's been many decades since it strayed completely from those founding principles and turned into an irretrievably corrupt organization.

Isn't it time for Americans to stop paying for this evil organization?

I believe that was number 45’s reason for saying the same thing.
If they were doing their job. There shouldn’t be two wars at the moment.
Their only agenda seems to be disarming the American people.
Maybe better to keep them close. To watch what they are doing?

Yes it's been theorized that by having them on our soil we can spy on them. I'm not sure how much truth there is in that though because they would have figured out we're spying on them by now and not conduct business in a way that allows us to do it.

I worked for a number of years just a few blocks from the UN building in New York City. The so-called ambassadors from these foreign countries were obnoxious. They would break all the laws, double parking their cars and blocking traffic and all kinds of other obnoxious behavior. They were immune from prosecutions so they didn't care. This place is a hotbed of corruption.

You're welcome. And your point is a good one. Having once worked in a building just a few blocks from the UN headquarters, I always hoped that they had that building so full of bugs that they could hear a baby whisper and it gave us a chance to spy on every single one of these countries.

Nobody rips off your average American more than the US government. That's the first thing that should be addressed.

Actually taxes are fair 10% from everybody including myself. This is from salary in contrast to the burden 9% new York city tax and less than
Israel 18% tax on food, we have reasonable 10% equal from everybody so not a rip off.
