I'm mixed. I understand it in theory. But at the same time I think it's kinda silly.

There was no such thing when I was a kid. I think I was about 10 when it became standardized in the US. Although some states never did do it, and still don't.

Not a fan. Technology has come far enough that we don’t rely on natural light for much of anything anymore. Also, year in and year out a variety of health risks are associated with people trying to adjust their physiology to the new schedules.

Technically, I really don't care, with this caveat.
Either use daylight saving time all year long, or use standard time all year long, but have all businesses and organizations permanently shift their operating hours to one hour earlier in the day.
The results are the same either way, more daylight in the evening hours after the conclusion of the typical business day.
But, since I'm retired, I really don't give a rat's ass about it any longer.
I'm just looking out for the welfare of the younger folks in the world.
