Foiled by the paywall on that link but I did find his prediction elsewhere. I'd say his track record is spotless... Can't blame him for hanging chads in Florida. I hope he's right.

In short, Lichtmann predicts Harris but he explains a sort of reasoning behind it using keys meaning critical aspects of personality, experience, and current events conditions.

He may be right, he may be wrong. I just know neither party will accept the outcome. It's been that way since 2000 as you've pointed out.

If Trump wins I see another version of Russia collusion, maybe Israel collusion for a nice spin. If Kamala wins it'll be voter fraud from illegals voting, and electronic voting machines.

Not to like civil war level, but definitely riots either way.

I couldn't read the story but since it is the NYtimes I bet he says Harris will win. I think that Trump wins and wins big. The nation overwhelmingly prefers his policies and he is killing it with the men's vote.

The latest Gallup poll says that more people identify as Republican's then democrats. Then we have Harris's disastrous speech about the border last Friday and the figures released by ICE about how many convicted murderers (over 13,000) have been released into the country. Then we have all the states that were clobbered by Hurricane Helene that have seen President Trump organize charities and volunteers to help while Harris was in California raising money for her campaign. With about a month to go it is not looking good.

There was another guy who has been calling thr races since Jimmy Carter. He says he looks at who has the lead on the issues most important to voters. Supposedly this guy has been right 100% I did not pick up on. His name.

models are just that... models, they break when the game changes.

we will find out when a select few people vote in battleground states vote. What message reaches these people... the campaign leaders should know.

      Here's an interesting question...
If he can always predict the winner, why should we bother going through with expensive elections? Just anoint the person he says will win, and move on.

I sometimes don't like how he comes across like to my mind you know - sure he has his methods yet the way he "usually always knows" I'd feel like it's an unfair competition if two folks wanted to have guesses and he was "always" the guy who was right - I'd feel like not wanting to play that game 😅😊

This is not a normal electorate. The country is wildly divided. The divisions are deep, and deeper than anytime in the past 160 years since the Civil War. Lictman has never seen such a year.

Plus all Trump needs to win is rain in Philadelphia and he will win Pennsylvania which is the lynchpin I think. Democrats don’t wait in the rain to vote history has shown.

Successfully predicting 9 out of the last 10 elections is not as impressive as it sounds. 7 of those 10 were pretty easy to call a month before the election.

Getting 9 of 10 just requires that you get 2 of 3 of the close ones (2000, 2016, and 2020).

So don't be too complicit and just assume Harris won like we did with Hillary in 2016, only way to ensure Harris wins is to vote.

It’s not a foolproof system, hopefully enough people vote that want to work to fix this country than try to live off taxpayers money and not work and turning the country into socialism or worse communism. Maybe enough people will see what the leadership for who they are and what they have done and wake up and see how things have not been fixed

We need to do everything in our power to prove him wrong this time. Miss cackling fake accent word salad has nothing but disaster after disaster in her record, from being a corrupt prosecutor who bailed out murderers and jailed innocents, failing as the border czar, and becoming the worst vice president in US history on an NBC poll. Nobody in his/her right mind should vote for her.

We still have a month left. Anything can happen until then.

The fact that it has been made official that the election won't be determined in one day already sounds suspicious.

He's a historian who came up with a predictor model based on historical precedence rather than polls. he's been at it since the reagan years predicting every one except the 2000 election. he technically got that one correct but the supreme court intervened that time and snatched it away. i thing this guy has a good thing going here.
