I'm from Western Europe. I don't know anything about Palestine except what I learned in past 12 months. My heart goes out to those guys.
The revenge by Israel has no interest freeing hostages. We learn the mindset of people. Based on the past 12 months now I feel deeply for those Palestinians.

I have learned the motive by Israel is to gain more territory and use genocide to destroy Palestinians. Which they won't achieve by the way.

Biggest misconception about Gaza and Palestine is that they are all Muslims, there are Palestinians who are Jews and Christians and being oppressed as well.

Sadly, the entire Christian Western World thinks Palestinians are villains for 8 October Attack. Today is the Anniversary.

Certainly I don't believe Netanyahu and his lackeys get God's revelations as it stopped with Holy Bible and those who support Israeli government in this area just as guilty.

of course, they are trapped in what would be pure misery and suffering and noone, not even own govt, is helping them. They could... return the hostages! they have little control... although some may have voted for this policy, just like the Germans in 1940's... many did not or were deceived, and paying a terrible price the same.

I don't know about the motive... I'd like to see hostages returned alive. To me it is the opposite, the purpose of all of this was to start a war with Israel... and that is why they hold hostages, to justify the war... to turn opinion against Israel. Whether Israel should be there, with all the land they have acquired is another question I won't touch. The goal is to kick Israel out.

Humans really are awful sometimes.

Note that no-one else has taken the people out... other countries like Jordan, various Arab countries have oodles of $ and could take them... but they choose not to. These people are disgusting, these arab countries. To be fair, last time Jordan took them, it was a mess... but they have no right to blame others. If that was so, then there'd be no more Palestinians by now.
If that was so, then Israel would have been engaged in that task on 06 OCT 2023.
Well, they weren't.
And why not?
Because, on 06 OCT 2023, the Israelis were enjoying living in Israel.
It wasn't until HAMAS started this war the next day that all this death has started.
So, get your head out of your ass.

It's more complex thsn that. The Palestinian lands are divided between The Gaza Strip and The West Bank. The have two separate governments and are split by Israel after Israel acquired a cost after winning a previous war. There is no country of Palestine. Gaza is under the control of HAMAS, a terrorist group. Until the attack there was obvious hostility, but not violence. After thr attack Israel had 2 goals, free the hostages and destroy HAMAS. I'm in favor of both. The problem with the way Israel is conducting the second goal is that they're not successfully minimizing civilian casualties.

In order to understand this conflict you need to go back over 3000 years. When the United States was attacked by Japan, there was no sympathy for the Japanese. When you instigate a war and you don't care about the death of your own civilians, that is worse than shameful, it is criminal. Just one note, in 1939, there were 12 million Jews and about 500 million Muslims, today there about 12 million Jews and over a billion Muslims. Why, genocide of Jews. Also, Iran does not care how many Arabs have to die to destroy Israel. You could spend a lifetime studying this issue and never cover everything. If Israel's motive was to "use genocide", they wouldn't be going to such extremes to avoid it. That's the whole point of this phase of the war; to finally show Palestine what war IS.
