Well absolutely, post about the children you’re talking about then… why not? If there are children here who have been abused, enslaved, or harmed, that deserves awareness and outrage too. I will feel sympathy for all humans, I’m not selective. But what I won’t do is say: “Well, why care for them when no one is caring about this other group?” Those two things are unrelated. If you post about the other issue, I’m sure there will be plenty of people who sympathize. But invalidating one tragedy because another also exists doesn’t really make sense. Human suffering is not a competition.

And why not feel sympathy for any human being, no matter where they are, or which side they’re on? Regardless of timing, whether the news just came out now or has been ongoing for years, it doesn’t change the fact that innocent people are suffering. To dismiss their pain as just a political strategy is unfair to the actual people living through it. I know about Epstein Island. The court case, the trafficking, the victims, Maxwell’s trial, none of that is a secret. It was all over the news. It was horrific and I don’t need convincing that it was evil.

But that does not mean I stop caring about people in war zones. These things are not connected except in the sense that powerful people often try to hide or control narratives. It is not either or, it is both. Epstein’s crimes do not make the suffering in Gaza less real, and Gaza’s suffering does not make Epstein’s victims less real.

If anything, both stories should make us more aware of how easy it is for the powerful to get away with things while ordinary people suffer. That is why I said earlier that human suffering is not a competition. We can hold anger for the victims of Epstein and still feel heartbreak for children trapped in war. Politicians may use or manipulate narratives, but the actual victims do not stop existing because of that.

So yes, expose the files, bring every name out, fight for those victims, and at the same time do not downplay the humanity of people dying somewhere else just because the media finally gave it attention. It is not about choosing sides in tragedies, it is about refusing to become numb to any of them.
