Do you prefer to organise your life thinking in the short term or long term?

I think that the older you get, you tend to think more long term. Especially when you become a father or mother. That changes your life completely. Suddenly, you're responsible for someone who is completely dependent upon you and your partner.

Before that, I could live day by day. Once I had the basics covered and had a steady job and income, no financial worries, it was pretty much day by day.

I start with long term goals, and then create short term goals that will help me achieve those long term goals.

It's a mix, probably 75-25, between short-term and long-term planning.

Short term - What's the next thing I'm going to do? To work? To the bathroom? Eat food?

Long term - Where are we going on vacation next year? Am I saving enough for retirement?

if I organize something, I already have some goal in mind, so mainly for this goal, but I always check if I can get more from it in the shorter or longer term...

I love to create scenarios... lol

Step by step, like someone said mid term, I don't want to wounder too far into future or too short like next week or so
