Do we need a “How to vote 101”?

I was talking to a middle age woman the other day. She thought since she wanted to vote for Trump. That she needed to change her party affiliation from democrat to republican!
A friend asked if he voted early. That he would still need to vote in person on Election Day!
Should these people be voting. Since they don’t seem to have a clue?
