Have you Heard about any unique traditions for Halloween or All Saints Day?

In my country Halloween can be quite a controversial topic as IT is regarded as pagan when compared to All Saints Day, November 1st. On this day people visit the graves of their dead family members, they light up candles and place live hrysantemus on the tombstones in memorance. Many go hundred of kilometres back to their hometowns just to do IT. What unique traditions have you Heard about?

Halloween isn't really that pagan, that's a modern myth, it's largely down to Pope Boniface IV in 610AD and by then Christianity was already widespread in western Europe. If you look at old British Halloween traditions they included things such as lighting candles in churches and the best way to please the ancestors was to feed the poor rather than sacrifice a virgin.

One fun tradition here in Wales which has largely died out is "yr hwch ddu gwta" which was a giant black pig. At the end of the party some one would dress in a pig skin and chase kids, the last one home and in bed would be eaten.
