Why do people act like older women and young men are rare?

I see people saying it's uncommon or rare for older women to go after young men wheb it happens all the time just like with older men and young women.  What's with this agenda some people have?

Probably because most people in general our judgmental over other peoples’ relationships on top of everything else that most people are judgmental about , so just ignore them , they don’t know shit , Someone’s age doesn’t determine someone’s chemistry and connection with someone , I have dated younger and older , and I ended up marrying an older girl and was married to her for 20 years , her and I heard comments all the time mainly jokes but who knows what they said behind our backs , The truth was we didn’t care because we loved and valued each other and nobody else’s’ opinions mattered to us , I see couples all the time that have age gaps and they are happy in their relationships, so that’s all that matters , Fuck what other people think or say cuz half the time they don’t know shit

I think it's uncommon for there to be sexual relationships where there's a big age difference. Most people seek out partners that are close in age.

I'm 100% sure it's more common for older men to be with younger women than for older women to be with young guys.

Still older women do have sex with young guys. Good for them. He'll benefit from her years of experience and hopefully, she'll get pleasure from a young stud.

I think it's because whenever an older woman likes a younger man, people will say nasty crap about her so they might stay quiet about it. As long as they still allow the younger partner to have personal development and stuff, it should be fine. It's only when they don't allow that stuff is bad, since then they're just molding the younger partner. I wouldn't blame the younger guys though because there's lots of older women that are beautiful.

I'd like to know where you mean by "here". In the US of an older woman goes after a younger man (just a few years is nothing), she's c called a cougar! I don't like that name. That's what my sister was calling me when I was 43, and had a boyfriend in his early 30's.

Because of anecdotal evidence. Like I personally don't know any couples where the woman in older than the man. Not at work, not in my friend groups, not in my extended family. Not a single example. However there are several where the man is at least 5 years older than the woman. That's just my experience, not hard evidence, but it seems a lot of people have a similar experience.

In my observation it is relatively recent. I'm just basing this on what I see at my local cafe so it is not as if I have made a longitudinal study with a large sample size.

It doesn't. Stats bear this out. Women like older men, men like younger women. The age gap on average is ~3 years in both directions.
