You can go on YouTube and find many videos of Tookie. He was the founder of the Crips. He murdered many people, but I believe his last murder was a 7-eleven clerk. This wasn't even meant to be a robbery. Tookie felt his gang was getting soft, so he wanted to show them how easy it is to kill. He made the clerk get face down on the ground, and then he shot him twice in the back of the head.

He was sentenced to the death penalty. When the night came for his execution, the streets were filled with people crying. They begged Arnold to give him a stay of execution, because Tookie had written a children's book, telling them not to be a scum like him.

Arnold refused. (Can you believe that Cali actually voted for a Republican governor?)

Even Hollywood celebrities were crying in the streets. They felt that if you wrote a children's book, it made up for all of your brutal murders.

It currently costs $134,000.00 per year to house an inmate in Cali. That would be 48,000,000.00 for 30 years.

Me thinks that money would be better spent on the homeless, rather than a monster.

A rapist deserved some punishment but the victim did not die therefore he must not die. the punishment is not more than the crime.

I would say yes but given how easily framing and false accusations can happen these days, I'm not so sure anymore. there's innocent people locked up for crimes they didn't commit and the death penalty would make things worse

Depends which country. Some just have a judge but if a jury then it limits such errors.
