Why is every election the Most Important Election in Our Lives?

Both Democrat and Republican parties are making a big deal about the 2024 US Presidential Election being "The Most Important in our Lives".

Why?

People seem to say that about every election.

No matter who wins and loses, life goes on, pretty much unchanged.

All I know is 2016 wasn’t kidding, 2020 raised the stakes, and now here we are again on the brink of destruction since Tariffs of up to 2000% increase as Trump is proposing won’t punish China, it will punish American importers who will then raise the price of commodities. Once those commodities hit the shelves, WE the consumer pay more. Why do American importers raise prices to meet the tariff standard placed on them? Answer: To make a net positive quota not a net zero. If I buy a $5 trading card from a friend to sell to a “client” for $20 then suddenly it is $200 per trading card, the “client” will have to pay $1,500 for me to meet a good quota. I ain’t selling it for $20 when I had to pay $200 to even acquire it… That is bad business and Pro Capitalists like me would know.

Mass Deportations getting rid of citizens who were brought here undocumented (illegally) as children by their parents who have a steady job, good flow of money coming in, a wife/husband, a house, a car, etc. and pay taxes here would be deported since Trump is vocally supporting it so 1. No more taxes being paid 2. No more job 3. No more providing goods & services / buying goods & services 4. No longer uplifting the economy as a whole. Imagine the intense job shortages in low skill labor, the government getting less taxes than they usually do, and more that all falls on US!!!

Then there is World War III, The second world war was caused by Appeasement & strengthening of the Axis Powers.

Reminder: North Korea deployed troops into Ukraine recently to fight for the benefit of Putin. Iran gives missiles to Putin to use on Ukraine to destroy children’s hospitals, apartment complexes, schools, and more… China gives drones to Putin to use on Ukraine to destroy military targets and send a barrage on Ukrainian cities to force them into submission. Let us not forget Putin’s mass graves of unarmed civilians in Ukraine, Ukrainian children being reeducated against their will being kidnapped then confined in reeducation camps in Russia to be part of the “motherland”…. Donald J Trump WANTS to hand Ukraine over to Putin, which would definitely strengthen Putin’s hold on the globe. Do you really think Trump would stand up to Putin in a bigger large scale conflict where the future of Western Civilization, principles Americans believe in, and our European Allies? No he wouldn’t.

“Allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution”. -Trump.

He never faithfully executed the office last time since he was lying every step of the way, starting with his “massive inauguration crowd, the biggest ever” to finishing with his “we had an election that was stolen from us, a landslide election”.
He had an oath and broke it to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States so help him God… Judgement Day won’t be too pleasant when the Founders & writers of the sacred document of our beautiful Country stand trial in Heaven. That is for damn sure!

Now is always more important than later, because now shapes what happens later. In my opinion, the election of 1932 was the most important because it placed FDR in office and his 12 years as president caused the most profound change in our government.

@aviatortom I'm going to be honest with you and this is my opinion, but I believe there's been a lot fear mongering happening. You have a lot of people believing that no matter who wins it's going to be chaotic. Here's the thing, and y'all I'm saying this so please take a deep breath and remember, no matter what we'll be fine, alright. It doesn't matter who wins it's going to be chaotic either way. If Trump wins we're going to have chaos with the left wings, if Kamala wins we're going to have chaos with the right wings. Politicians are like babies diapers, they need regular changing and for the same reason.

The fact is if elections are won or lost on tiny percentages, the people aren't seeing them as unimportant. Important elections are those where there's a massive swing to the other side and you lose your traditional support.

I think it just seems that way, largely because of Barack Obama and how transformative he was. That and during his presidency, we saw the rise of social media, YouTube, and blogs and other alternative media. That's when we started hearing about shadow campaigns, infiltrations of institutions, New World Orders, and so forth.

After Barack Obama, in addition to his policies, but also his sleazy and aggressive ways of engaging with people who disagreed with him, Donald Trump was the reaction. Then in 2020, we had *UNSPECIFIED VIRUS OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN* and how it was handled. People started looking at the relationship between the government and the people. Then, of course, the questions and controversies surrounding *UNSPECIFIED CONTEST*.

And now we're facing the prospect of, if not World War III itself, very widespread and destructive conflict. Likewise re-evaluating America's relationship with the world at large, our involvement with the UN, and scandals involving the weaponization of government institutions, and a host of others.

So again, due to a variety of different factors, I think it just seems like that, the way you're describing it.

Democrats are afraid because they've been doing everything to Trump they've been accusing him of and projecting their own wrongdoings onto him

YES! This is a TOTALLY retarded line that gets trotted out every election cycle because it works on the youngs who are too inexperienced to know any better. Having seen this song and dance many, MANY times now, I get the con. It's fucking bullshit. It's NOT the most important election ever and life will go on after, regardless.

Hell, I remember back in 2000 when it was the MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVERRRRRR between W and Al Gore. I struggled then to even state the major policy differences between those guys. And now, forget about it!

Incidentally, the other retarded line that gets tossed out because the young are too inexperienced to know better is, "the WORLD will END soon if you don't FUNDAMENTALLY change everything to PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!" It’s not. That happened decades ago. The second time voters described their choice as “the lesser of two evils”, but did absolutely nothing about the two-party oligarchy they knowingly installed… that was the most important election in US history. Now we get to reap what we’ve sowed.

That said, I think the most important elections of our lives were 2020 and 2022. As a population, we allowed the uniparty to retake control in 2020 and then we cosigned our punishment orders in 2022. But I have the feeling that if it is the latter the more extreme portions of the current administration will cause chaos, and Lord Alone knows what the actions of the political appointees in Law Enforcement will be.
