Be truthful, do you take criticism personally? How do you handle it?

I appreciate constructive criticism. If someone’s just trying to give me shit, then obviously not, haha.
I’ve played sports all my life, so I’m pretty used to criticism, and the coaches usually weren’t polite about it😂 I remember getting cooked when we watched film on my sophomore team in high school. “This play here should go for 50 yards! Oh…wait…nope. Steve’s our tight end, nevermind…” Lmao, I was so embarrassed.
But that was his way of teaching me to recognize zone coverage and find the soft spot and sit down, don’t just run the route and break at X-amount of yards because that’s what the route tree in the playbook says. Improvise and adjust. I was just running myself into coverage because I was following a plan too literally, like a dumbass😂
Now I’m learning hockey as an adult, and the advice comes from fellow players. That’s been almost 100% positively delivered. I’ll make a mental mistake, something positional, and the next time we’re on the bench one of the guys who’s played since childhood will tap me and explain what I should do differently in whatever situation I hadn’t done optimally.
In both cases, the tough love and the friendly advice have made me a better player. And I could maybe apply that to life too, you just have be able to decipher who’s sincere and who’s just giving you shit. It’s usually easy to tell😂
fairly well... I like it when it is a constructive one, that's how I did adjust a few things about myself when I was growing up
and most of it coming from friends and people who knew me well, and better, lol
It really depends who it is saying it to me. A compelete stranger on the internet I am likely never going to meet in real life comments are going to matter to me a lot less compared to somebody I have actually met in real life and thought was my friend
Yes, I do. I don't take it well. It is amongst my biggest flaws. But that derives from the fact that I overly-criticize myself so there is a limit to what I can endure.

It depends where the criticism is coming from and from whom.
It's easier to take when it's from the heart, a place is warmth, and in your best interest.
If they are just bitching (again) for their own reasons then it's probably less appreciated.
I've been criticized for smallest mistakes since I could understand words, criticism behaves on me like water on lotus leaves or duck feather.
Depends. I don't take anything personally. But if someone is bullish or just trolling. Then I tend to skin them
I take it personally 😉🤣
I don't handle it well - I just bottle it inside and think to myself "karma why" 😭😆😂😭😆
it used to hit me hard personally, I manage it better now as I listen for the message and try to learn from it. I'm somewhat maleable.
I consider criticism as valuable feedback, something to be learned from.
I usually take it pretty well if I know it's definitely legit
Brother?
Who you quoting?
I don't quote anyone
" " then why quotation marks?
So it wasn't a quote but you accidentally placed them there?
Yes I have a question like that
I'm strict on proper English grammar by the way. I can't let this go.
I take it English isn't your first language?
Why.
You're very bad at English. That's why.
It's ok if you are. If it's not your first language.
My mom is Brazilian
Oh then you speak Portuguese better then?
Yes why
Oh cool. You should probably troll in Portuguese then because if you do it in English it comes off kind of lame and doesn't hit as hard.
My mom has big breast
Nope big breasts are just breasts. Trolling is bad though.
No i don't mind it at all I use it as fuel to prove my doubters wrong
Depends what the criticism is. Everyone has their soft spots.
Nah. If it makes sense I take it in stride. If it doesn't make sense what does arguing gain me?
Depends especially if it something I worked on definitely.
I try to turn it around on the critic.
No.
You need to know yourself well.
I really couldn't care less tbh
I try not to
