JD Vance vs. Donald Trump?

So this question was inspired by a few people that I have encountered for the past few weeks. Some are saying they do not want Trump back in office (some have said it was his age, others have said because of who he is as a person, etc. etc.) however, they wouldn't mind JD Vance and have said he's more qualified and fit for the job, and a few have nicknamed him "the modern day JFK" due to his age, him having a beautiful wife, three kids, and him having an elite education. However, there are some that said JD Vance is an idiot and Trump made a huge mistake selecting him as his VP running mate, and others have said that he's a liability to the conservatives/Republican party.

Some background, so I live in deep south Alabama and around here people love and support the Trump/Vance nomination. Everywhere you drive you'll see support for the men whether it's Trump 2024, Trump/Vance 2024, or in some places (and this is a rarity ) Vance 2024. However, I have encountered a few that hates JD Vance and have said he's an idiot and the worst VP pick and Trump should've picked someone else. Whereas others are more in support for JD Vance.

When it comes to each men, who do you support and why? Are in support of Trump, but find his VP running mate stupid? Or are you in support of JD? Or do you see both men are ideal for the country?

Also, do you think Trump should've picked a better running mate and JD is a liability, or he has made the right pick by selecting JD? And if so what is about JD Vance that you like or dislike about him? And do you see JD being a great president in the upcoming future or not really? And if Trump had to pick a different VP running mate, who would you rather had him and pick and why?

I think Vance was a great pick for VP for Trump. Picking someone like Haley would've been asking for the agenda that Trump wants to implement to be severely undermined. With Vance that's less of an issue.

It will be interesting in 2028 to see if Vance or DeSantis ends up leading the Republican party. Will also be interesting to see how the Dems react to their upcoming shellacking and resolve their major internal divisions.

There's a political rumor that whether or not Trump wins they're already preparing Vance for 2028.

Oh I'm sure Vance's team is. But if Trump loses, there'll be a primary in 2028. So he'll have to win, and I'm sure DeSantis will run. If Trump wins, Vance might still need to fight a primary.

I'm going to tell you something, at first I really wasn't too keen on Vance. But after hearing him debate and his side on everything he has my vote and support. Plus his wife, Usha, seems extremely/highly educated, articulated, and calm/gentle so she'll do a wonderful job as first lady.

We'll see how the next 4 years play out. I'd be fine with Vance, but depending on how get performs and VP and how DeSantis closes out his term as governor and depending on the differences in their policy positions, I'll keep an open mind between the two of them.

Trump. Vance doesn't have the experience to be POTUS yet but he's a greater spokesperson in terms of articulating policy. Trump is more entertaining though

Neither person is ideal for the USA, however both are proven leaders (with flaws) and I like how each person loves their family
