Do you ever question the nature of your reality?

And I don't mean rejecting the viewpoints of your opponents, but I mean questioning everything that you can't personally confirm. Like, did the Peloponnesian War really happen? Could any historical event be an outright fabrication? Or loosely based on reality? Can the consensus behind many health topics be an outright lie to manipulate us or to sell products? Are published government statistics just made up to hide reality from us? Is the Overton window placed firmly in the realm of lies, and are we unable to speak the truth about many subjects, like about human nature?

Can you accept that anything you believe to be true, because you were told it's true, can just outright be wrong or a lie?

Unlikely you'll get much feedback on this one. This type of topic just upsets people. And sets off a lot of cognitive dissonance. Just expect anger, insults or avoidance.

For me, the answer is yes. I'm not a worshipper of any kind. I don't really place faith in anything, outside of what I'm forced to, like hoping the food I'm eating isn't poisoned, or school district actually did background checks on the teachers. You won't hear me insisting that I know something is a fact, unless I personally experienced it.

nope... but I do believe that it happened in the reality of others, which, does align with my own...

Could you accept that it didn't happen? Or at least not in the way you understand it to have happened? The same question, but with any other historical event, or the statistics produced about them?

no... because I cannot prove they didn't happen and for others to deny it happened without the proof for it... would not align with my reality
