US public backing for Israel and its ongoing war against Hamas is waning with most Americans supporting a cease-fire more than a month after the vicious terror attack, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

In a two-day poll that ended Tuesday, about 32% of respondents said the US should back Israel when asked what role the ally should play in the battle. The percentage was a drop of nearly 10 points from a poll conducted on Oct. 12-13.

It's a travesty that the U. S. supports Israel no matter what. Time and again, it is the only country to veto UN Security Council resolutions against Israel. It assists in Israel's illegal aggression and ongoing genocidal program. It even tries to pass laws equating criticism of Israel with antisemitic hate speech.

If the holocaust, the Armenian genocide, Stalinism, Pol Pot, and Mao's Great Reset were evil, Israel is equally evil.

Even its crimes against the United States exceed those of any other country.

The reason the U. S. backs Israel is because of AIPAC and the Israeli lobby (agents of a foreign power). A politician can get elected without their support. They own the U. S. govenrment.
And the reason corporate media supports Israel is because the owners of corporate media are Zionists.

I never understood the steadfast support given to Israel. I figured that was the US Jews and the fundamental Christians that pushed for it. Now the Democrats are Turing their back on Israel to appeal to a larger voting block than the Jews, the new Muslim immigrants.

I think it’s funny to watch Jews still vote and give money to the Democrats. Creatures of habit I guess even though they are being turned on by the Democrats.

I do think the Israelis have a great military and have serious brass balls but of course their backs are against the wall and they have little choice. Democrats will sell them out though in the end.

Israel is the only true western country in the Middle East. Only true democracy in that region. There are only 15 millions Jews on this planet and 8 million live in Israel (the population of Israel is 20% Arabic). They have also invented incredible defense technology like Iron Dome which helps benefit the US military with research.

And do you know what the chant “to the River to the Sea” means? It means genocide to all Jews in Israel.

But these terrorists just don’t want to stop with killing the Jews. No. They hate the West in general. Hate people like you and me. We are a very close second place to Jews when it comes to who they to subjugate/convert to Islam and/or annihilate.

Anyway we are seeing scripture being fulfilled here. God promised the Hebrews that land and they occupied for literally a millennia before Islam was born. But they did follow God’s commands with eliminating other cultures in that region (King Saul particularly dropped the ball on this). Here was a verse about this in Joshua:

Joshua 23:13: "Know with certainty that the LORD your God will not continue to drive these nations out from before you; but they will be a snare and a trap to you, and a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you"

So we see this constant historical cycle of Israel being occupied by Jews, attacked, sometimes completely deported (Babylon), reoccupied, temporary peace, then more war, more bloodshed, etc. It will likely go on forever.

Not American but I had difficulty with the Israeli response to the Hamas attack whilst still recognizing Israel had no choice. Obviously no body wants the collateral civilian damage that has occurred but most responsibility lies with Hamas fighting from civilian areas. Israel must have the right to defend it self.

Over time, I have come to see Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi for want they are - Irian operatives and that this is a war with Iran and that the West shouldn't accept the polite fiction it is not so.

Quite clearly Israel faces an existential threat. Iran says this and there is no reason to not believe them or think that any acceptable solution would be acceptable. A two state solution may be just Western wishful thinking.

If it is true the US has leaked Israeli military planning (although it seems more US assessment of Israeli options) then I suppose Americans will need to form an opinion on what happened before they vote in the Presidential election and before any definitive information is available.

Overall though it seems that what is happening is a lot bigger than Israel. It is beyond doubt that Putin has prevailed on their Iranian buddies to initiate this. China would be pleased even if it is not up to it's neck involved.

At the same time the US can't afford or want heavy involvement in the middle east I would expect..

I think Americans could consider a few aspects.

1/ How much does the US need the Middle east to be peaceful since it has self sufficiency with. oil but the Suez may be important

I'm on board with most on the subject and support Israel, and I understand some of the reasons for NOT supporting them. The problem from my perspective, is trying to understand just where both Arabs and Jews want to 'draw the line" as to the expansion of the state of Israel, from where to where? I have no conception of what land mass the Israelis want to call Israel?

The flip side, is that when Israel stops the 'war' against HAMAS or whomever, ... its not 6 months until Hamas or any other terrorist group AGAIN starts lobbing missiles into what is Israel.

I don't see the struggle EVER BEING RESOLVED.

The problem seems to be that Hamas, hezbollah and Iran don't want a ceasefire preferring to continue launching missiles at Israel usually from civilian areas like Hospitals and schools and the Israelis warn the civilian population that they are about to drop bombs but Hamas and hezbollah won't let civilians leave because they want maximum civilian casualties as part of their propaganda campaign. As I understand it, there could be a ceasefire at anytime if Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran ceased firing and released the hostages.

They need to change but the changes needed are way more nuanced than the talking heads would have you believe.

I don't get why Christians support Israel. Palestine is not all Muslims and We should care about the world hoslitically and not just some people and politicians. And there is a better solution to this fighting.
Just tell Palestinians to marry off to Israelis and to live together. I don't think an Israeli or Palestinian will bother killing each other if they were sharing bloodline.
