How can society effectively balance the need to protect children from sexual abuse with the rights of individuals who may have pedophilic tendencies?

People can have all the “tendencies” they want…just don’t act on them in any way or traffic in any kiddie p0rn and there’s no issue. Have all the sick thoughts you want, as long as they remain firmly trapped in your head.

Sexual abuse of children, of any sort…zero tolerance, period, full stop.

I’m not sure what “rights” pedophiles want respected. I respect all your rights in life, there’s just no respect given for manifested pedophilia. I can’t think of any pedophilic rights that require or deserve protection.

"Pedophilic tendencies" is very vague. In my opinion people who commit such crimes and exploit laws on personal freedom and integrity forfeit their rights.
