I just saw another news post where another celebrity is supporting Harris. Michael Keaton. I'm not really into politics like that but I'm concerned about the economy and just wonder what people think about Harris fixing it.

Several of my friends don't think so and thus voting for Trump, but what do you guys think honestly.

We are comparing tariffs on American importers which will create a price increase along with worsening shrinkflation IF & WHEN Donald J Trump is elected. In a poll on G@G the voting populist that is voting Trump were asked, “If the economy tanks after your pick would you regret it?” The majority voted a near unanimous “no”, no they wouldn’t regret it. There is a reason why these voters & echo chamber key holders don’t talk about policy or even try to compare since there is no comparison. It is good economy vs a bad economy. You know what my response is? If you remember 8 years ago as a good economy, that is because it was Barack Obama’s economy then Trump threw it in the trash even before Pandemic. Most American stores closed down in Pandemic than any year prior or after.

And do you still believe Donald J Trump will be tough on China?

Do you really honestly believe Donald J Trump cares about the US Constitution?

For some reason, many people seem to think that a change of administration can 'fix' an economy that seems to be losing steam. Trade barriers can slow or stop, foreign markets from flooding the US market with goods but that will slow or stop exports to that same market

Trump wants to increase oil drilling in an effort to bring down energy cost and probably reopen the Keystone Pipeline, for the same reason. High fuel cost and the increase in transportation of goods to the market, should reduce the cost of those products.

Reducing taxes for middle income families should help some by giving them more discretionary income.

Harris does not favor any of those things.

Yes. Even of she doesn't do a great job, she can at least keep it steady where it is now. Many economists & people who actually know their shit have warned that Trumps plans for economy will be total disasters. So I'm voting for person who can help economy & will, not person who won't & will make it a lot worse. Hope this helps!

How and why would she? Her administration is the reason it's in the dump to begin with.

This is the problem with the position she's in: as the incumbent vice president who is also the acting president on matters that haven't been delegated to the secretaries of state and Treasury (which is another issue), she can't separate herself from the state of the country at all, and furthermore, anything she wants to promise can be acted on today and at least score some credibility. If she were to win the election, all of the exact same people, save for maybe a retirement or two, would remain in their positions and absolutely nothing will change. Nothing she says can be taken seriously, because she has proven every day for the last four years as seemingly an absentee in her position aside terrible Senate voting tiebreakers (which she's actively campaigning against like they didn't happen) that she is either completely toothless under the control of puppet masters, or an exceptionally stupid and lazy person who doesn't know how to do her job.

LOL The FUNNY thing is, the vast majority who say "No, Harris can't fix it" believe "Yes, Trump can and WILL fix it", when Trump was the one who helped ruin it! Covid did too, but the biggest culprit right now is... wait for it ... capitalism and corporate greed.

Do you realize how only a few corporations control 80% of everything you eat, drink, wear, read, see and hear? Most folks are kept dumb as rocks believing that a single administration can turn their lives around, and that's funny. Even under the very BEST of times in US history, the gen pop had no more than 3 - 4 months survival money tucked away. You're missing the point, slaves.

All of these corporations have posted RECORD earnings in the multi-billions for the past 6 years, EVEN during Covid. They paid handsome dividends. Meanwhile, our prices rose during the pandemic and never came down - why would they when Corporations realized you would find a way to pay higher prices? What DID come down? The size or quantity of their products - more profits.

ONE thing is certain - the guy who got you into this mess, Trump, isn't going to get you out of it. Try not to forget who he is - a grifter, liar, con man. Why you keep falling for it is incomprehensible. Will Harris do better? Unknown, but for sure, Trump will FUBAR the USA.

She is an active and central part of the Biden administration. The woman lives at the White House basically.

So if there’s any fixing to be done why hasn’t she done it in the past 4 years

This is the administration that funds foreign wars in the trillions as though the US has money to spare

The man was president between 2016 and 2020

The economy is like a super tanker... it takes a long time to change speed or direction. The economy is also very big... governments actually have only small influence on it. Neither Trump or Harris can really improve things quickly... most people have unrealistic expectations. .

Trump's tariffs sure as hell won't. He apparently is still stupid after his first tariff war ended up with us bailing out farmers with 19 billion dollars. He doesn't want to tax corporations or billionaires because those are him and he wants a tax break for himself. But swears he won't tax social security, tips etc. Who is left to pay taxes? LOL.
