Why so much talk about politics on GAG?

It always felt like bad taste to me. This site should really be just for discussing relationships and things tangentially related to that, no? (I'm assuming Trump vs. Harris is not one of those things.) It's a bespoke Q&A site, not a Reddit community lol.

And it's not even an interesting dialogue... It's like one politically brainwashed camp antagonizing another brainwashed camp. Like middle school-level discourse and a waste our time—or what am I missing?

Does anyone else see these posts and feel reminded of an annoying youtube ad distracting from the real content of interest?

ask yourself this. do you wish to be with a woman who believes that you want her dead or wants to strip her "rights" away simply because you voted for secure borders, no new wars and a prospering economy?

We are about to have the most important election in out lifetimes. Depending on the outcome we could have a socialist state overrun by illegal aliens. And little by little have our rights eroded until lwe have a Communist state where the government confiscates all out property.

It's mostly just liberals vs conservatives both thinking they are superior. There's never any intellectual discussion of radical change or political theory which would be much more interesting in my opinion

I never see it. I have the topic blocked. Not only that, but I learned quickly that the entire politics section is nothing but trolls, spam, and bullies sitting in a circle jerking off over each other's twisted opinions.
