Gender equality or female supremacy?

Hi everyone. As a person who borne and raised in Eastern European culture and currently live in Canada I try to understand Western society, especially about female and sexual minority groups protection. Because some parts of that laws looks as overprotection. For example: make compliment to a woman who you don't know can be treated as a sexual harassment, accidentally touch as a sexual assault, or asking someone "are you a gay?" can be misread as a violation. How do you think, does it looks like overprotection or not?

And most of the time this laws protect woman's or non-traditional genders. But I almost didn't hear or see about similar laws which protect males. So is it about equality, or female/non-traditional gender supremacy or even revenge for years of inequality?

There's all sorts of laws over here that could be considered overprotective. You can get on the sex offender registry just by peeing off the side of a highway.

I hear there are many countries in Europe who have laws against any physical discipline of children, even your own. Many people in USA would consider that type of law as overprotective as well.

That law probably isn't in your country then. 🤷‍♀️ there's no law against asking people their sexuality where I live.

Nah, those are extreme cases that are intentionally overblown. People are not being accused of sexual harassment for accidentally touching someone else or whatever. Of course there are people who goes too far either knowingly or unknowingly but those are the exceptions and its very obvious that what they did was in fact crossing a line for any normal person.

Rule of thumb, just treat people as people and you are fine.

"gender equality" is just reparations for writing the "wrongs" of the past based on feminist propaganda revisionist history

under this "gender equality" utopia, feminists are both simultaneously empowered while also victims of the "equal" patriarchy which was supposedly dismantled

When society has been set up to specifically benefit one group above all others, fairness and equality can seem like discrimination and oppression.
