Sorry, this is too long to post as a question. Watching the Hunger Games, you sided with the resistance. When you watched Star Wars, you sided with the resistance. When you watched the Matrix, you understood and sided with the resistance. You watched the movie Divergent and sided with the resistance. When you watched V for Vendetta, you cheered the Rebel and supported the resistance. When it’s fiction, you cheer and side with the resistance yet when it’s happening to you in real life right now, in the news and around the world, you refuse to see it. When it’s the reality you’re living in, you refuse to see it and resist. Why?

The problem with this statement is, its usually posted by people who are part or in support of the tyrany, dictatorship, or however you want to call it.

Thinking they are the "rebels, the good guys, the oppressed". While villainising the people who are actually the ones fighting for more freedom.

In fantasy you can see the bigger picture. In real life, you're largely stuck with what you can physically experience and what you choose to believe. Plus in fantasy, you know the resistance is generally for the side of freedom and goodness. In reality, resistance fighters are often literal terrorists like polpot, Mao, Stalin etc. Who all have committed genocides in the name of revolution.

well said, you are quite well versed. Asker should read "The Killing Fields"... about Pol Pot Kmher Rouge and see if he likes communism and the resistace in real life. Then read "When Rabbit Howls" about Trudy Chase torture at hands of her father.
It's classic good vs evil, but these get twisted and confused in life as humans become confused as to which is which. That is the fun stuff of life... the Bible starts out with "the knowledge of good and evil"... so true.
Was Jesus good or evil? Was Mohammed good or evil... if you only can pick one? Be careful answering that (anyone) or may get your head chopped off by one of them. Pick what "good vs evil" you'd like to compare.. the girl with the arrow is good or is she evil, it's fun mental work!
