I would say no. Compared to most of the past, you live a comfortable and easy life. We have computers to aid us with our everyday tasks. You have a powerful and well connected computer in your pocket. Did you spend your youth picking berries all summer to help your family get by? My mom did every summer. Both parents learned how to work hard early. My childhood was considerably easier than my parent's life. My parents had an easier time than my grandparents, who lived through the depression and the second world war. Yes, they fought that war. Generations before that were peasants and pioneers, none of which lived easy lives by our measure. Life was never easy.
