Lots of memes and tweets and posts and videos are popping up, assuring women that they can keep their votes secret from their husbands and boyfriends. The unspoken assumption is that lots of women are bullied, intimidated or controlled by their partners, specifically in straight couples when she wants to vote for Harris and he supports Trump. The messages assure these intimidated voters that they can vote in peace and privacy at a polling place. But a lot of Americans now vote by mail, which generally means they fill out their ballots at home, where that privacy may not be available.

I would be cool with that. its their decision and theirs alone. they have full agency to decide who they want to vote for or not

The perspective of a woman not feeling at ease to vote for whoever she wants to vote simply doesn't exist to me. I have never heard of such testimony anywhere in my close and remote surroundings.

Anyway, I have a massive incompatibility with a girl having far-right views, she would probably not hide it and we would not need more than one or two topics of conversation before I realize her views.

It would be fine with me, there is a couple, and she's a Republican, and He's a Democrat. Both voting for Sen Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. Casey is a Democrat.

That would depend on the candidates we are talking about. We've voted for different school board candidates, but the state and federal elections have been the same for us both. In this Presidential election, if either one of us voted for Trump or ANY GOP candidate in our state, the other would make them disappear and collect the insurance.
